Listen to this babbling idiot. He's part of THOSE 38. This content is protected I can't thank Smith Jr enough.
Golovkin clearly, it wasn't even close. I had it 8 rounds to 4 same as Harold Lederman.........................Byrd should be banned for life and investigated!
The Scary thing is nearly %10 of so called Boxing Fan's on here agreed with Adelaide Byrd..... think about it for a while and you realise why Boxing is at a Cross Roads at the Moment...
well 10% is a conservative estimate of the percentage of people who are idiots, why should the boxing community be exempt?
They're just the haters, the hardcore 10% that refuse to recognise reality for what it is and would rather set themselves on fire than admit that Golovkin won the fight. Such a pity; it was a truly great fight, I watched it again just now and all I can say is that both these guys are total ****ing badasses and that they deserve a double thumbs up To be honest I was more relieved at the draw than anything else because I totally expected GGG to get rogered completely on the cards.
The people have spoken, be they fans, fighters, trainers, promoters etc, or members of the fight fraternity in one capacity or another and the verdict in every single poll that was taken in the known universe is GGG and by an absolute landslide. That's what Serge is talking about. Real Talk.
I changed the 11th from Golovkin to Canelo. Early neither landed much, Canelo focused on defence, a few jabs as GGG came in, and a couple nice counter body shots. Then some clean power shots. Canelo took the first 2:00. Golovkin simply didn't land like he did in the 10th. He did partially land punches in the last minute and a good hook with 15 seconds left, and pressured throughout and threw more to leave an impression, but that shouldn't be quite enough to win it. I hate to change two rounds since my live score, but I'm changing the 11th from Golovkin to Canelo. So my score went from 115-113 to 116-12 GGG, to 115-113 again. With the feeling out first fair to go either way a 6-6 draw is very reasonable. 1: Golovkin 2: Canelo 3: Canelo 4: Golovkin 5: Golovkin 6: Canelo 7: Golovkin 8: Golovkin 9: Golovkin 10: Golovkin 11: Canelo 12: Canelo
Your scores are very similar to mine. I had 4-9 as Golovkin rounds. 1 and 10-12 were very close, and 2-3 were Canelo's clearest rounds imho. That leaves 4 rounds that are imho "swing rounds". I ended up giving 3 to Canelo and 1 to Golovkin, and ended up with a 7-5 GGG score.
Just watched 10 in slomo. Very close round. There are some punches that are hard to tell if they landed or not by both fighters. I might shade it to Golovkin. Some of the shots that Canelo seemed to have landed in regular speed you can see are picked off by gloves and arms in slomo. Going to do 11 and 12 now. Did 11: I had GGG landing literally a single more punch than Canelo and anybody that disagrees with me is probably right. Canelo had some flashy combos, GGG was an "autentica macchina" according to the commenters, LOL. I have to say that the slomo makes one appreciate just how good the defence of these guys is. I counted a LOT fewer blows in slomo than in regular speed because it was apparent that they were slipping and blocking much more than I'd thought. I think I gave it to Canelo the first time I watched it. Here goes 12. 12: Canelo opened up a huge gap in the first minute with his rapid fire attack. But GGG's counteroffensive almost caught it up, and then during the meat of the round evened things up. Golovkin's finish in the last seconds may have shaded it. This was a hard round to score, if people want to say Canelo took it they have a case. These rounds are all very close. You can make a case for either fighter winning 1, 10, 11 and 12. Originally I had 1, 11, 12 as Canelo rounds and GGG taking the 10th. I'm not unhappy with that assessment although I'm starting to think that maybe Golovkin took 1 as well, by an ass hair.
