Golovkin won both fights vs. Cinnamon, I don't like him and I'm actually very biased against him and hate to give him even a modicum of credit. I hated Golovkinmania.............I hated the push he got from HBO..............I hated the fact that his fanatics truly think he could beat in top MW in history.............He won both fights..............

I wish this topic would just go away...........

How is this even a question? Everyone needs to ignore shadow because he's got his two hands up canelo's ass and has absolutely no idea how to OBJECTIVELY score fights.

GGG won the first 8-4 quite convincingly. Yes the rounds were close but there were clear winners of each round. I can't take anyone seriously who score Canelo as the winner of the first (or second). There's absolutely no criteria apart from occasional flashy punches to arms elbows and gloves. Yes he got through sometimes but it was not enough.

GGG Canelo 2.. I have no idea how people think this is close or closer than the first fight . GGG 9-3 or 8-4. Canelo was supposedly walking GGG down but GGG was dictating the pace. GGG outlanded Canelo with power jabs throughout most of the rounds..people say jabs aren't worth **** but they looked far more impactful than Canelos landed punches (when he actually landed.. Yknow not punching GGGs gloves and elbows lmao)

Canelo fans are scum imo, ruining the sport by hyping Canelo up making out as if he is something he is not when in fact they have absolutely no idea how to score fights.

Also, anyone who thinks that Kovalev fight was not a fix is an utter moron. I was disgraced by that fight from round 1, corrupt and fraudulent to the core.

The most obvious bias is when someone says razor close fights "weren't even a question" or "X got robbed" both fights were close. I would have accepted any result from the judges 1st fight because it was very close and even here on this site I see alot of goalposts moving constantly on scoring fights. You Can't change what you consider a fight winning criteria depending on who does it. That's bull****. And the 2nd fight I felt Canelo separated himself more in the moment, albeit in another close one.

And let's be honest with ourselves, what really lost the 2nd fight for Ggg was yapping about running and mexican style, then proceeding to let a guy from a lower weight class do that to him. It's a bad look and perception is everything in sports...

Talking about what you might do has NOTHING to do with how it should be scored. If you think that's what lost it for him, you need to re-evaluate your own scoring criteria, maybe remove the 'talking' part.

And here lies the issue. Some fans elevate themselves in their minds above the actual reality of the sport and get disillusioned about the results. The concept of judging for results will always leave a gray area and 10 different judges can see 10 different angles of an outcome.

That said, you're absolutely out of you mind if you don't believe perception drives outcome In what's basically an opinion based sport when it doesn't end in a stoppage. In the buildup GGG was built up as some unstoppable monster that Canelo was afraid of and would surely be ko'd by. Canelo did 24 rounds with this guy, never saw the canvas and in the 2nd go round took the fight to the "destroyer " after being basically called a coward the 1st go round. GGG got exactly what he asked for and realized he didn't really want that after all. He only wants the payday right now.

 All this from me saying what a boxer says prior should have no bearing on scoring? The buildup, the posturing, the talk of KO by fans or boxers... they don't factor in to scoring. If you are actually trying to argue that point, there's no reason to discuss this with you. It's just assinine.

Why are people trying to make it seem like Canelo deserved the draw? GGG obviously won, just by points, he took over on the last round and won fair and square.

not at all, but I don't live in a fantasy world where I believe my score is the end all be all in a sport I consume as a spectator. Maybe you should give that a shot.
