LOL my crazy conspiracy theory that the press had a pro-GGG bias and expectation going into the first match and combined with Canelo's style of fighting off the backfoot caused them to give close rounds to GGG since he was coming forward and throwing more punches and that most of the press had him winning? That vs alleging that DLH was behind a repeated conspiracy to pay off judges every time Canelo fights, which would actually affect the result and who wins (unlike press scoring which is unofficial) and claiming the Kovalev fight was fixed that Kovalev took a "dive"? Which is more crazy? I'm not alleging any conspiracy, I'm pointing out that much of the press expected GGG to win, and their scorecards were largely a product of that expectation. A much more extreme example of this is when Pacquiao fought Bradley the first time. No one thought Bradley had any chance and the press overwhelming had Pacquiao winning. As you know, the judges saw something completely different. Historically expectations and biases play a role in how boxing matchs are perceived and interpreted. You should know this by now.
Just stop....this is just ridiculous. You can invent anything you want to help you sleep at night...but this crap you are posting is just pathetic. THIS is why everyone here makes fun of you...
Sure whatever you say silly Lance. Mr. DLH paid off judges the Kovalev fight was fixed but I'm the crazy conspiracy theorist for pointing out why most of the press had the first match for GGG.
If you need to place your silly conspiracy theory next to theories you think are a joke...that tells us you think it's a joke as well. Nice self ownage...
That's some convoluted logic there Lancy pants. DLH paying off judges, Kovalev taking a dive, yeah that's just a tad bigger of a conspiracy theory than explaining what caused most of the press to score the first match for GGG.
Obviously GGG. Everyone knows that deep down. Second fight was closer. I edge it to GGG as well, but cannot argue a reverse close decision.
Again....THOSE theories have zilch to do with what you claim. You bring them up simply so you don't sound so crazy. Didn't help...
What is so crazy about what I claim? That the press had been hyping GGG for years as the boogeyman, the undefeated Middleweight King a KO artist that was said to be unbeatable. That he was expected to win, and that the style in which Canelo fought the first time was not the come forward style that many in the press prefer and typically give close rounds to, not to mention the idea that many believe that you have to take the fight to the Champ to beat him, that you couldn't fight like Canelo did off his backfoot and beat a Champion, that these factors and expectations contributed to the majority of the press giving GGG many of the close rounds enough to secure him a close victory? What's so crazy about that? Me bringing up the conspiracies constantly spouted on here by many Canelo haters about how DLH pays off judges so Canelo could win decisions or that Kovalev took a dive, how that fight was fixed is just to point out that those are much wilder and more "out there" theories then me pointing out the factors that led to most of the press scoring that first match for GGG. Press scoring is a lot about style preferences, expectation, fighter biases. Pointing that out isn't a conspiracy theory, theories that DLH pays off judges or that Kovalev took a dive or that Canelo's somehow inherently corrupt, those are conspiracies.
Thanks Quina for some great work and patience. Overall it was pretty good debate with shadow and I think Quina has pretty solid ground with his arguments.
