That fight was ****ing FIRE. Bad judging but that's what you call entertainment. Better than a lot of the lay 'n' pray fests we see in the UFC... BJJ is slow, not the same level of adrenaline pumping action. They have some catch wrestlers too which is like BJJ but much quicker, but that's pretty much dead now - all slow-paced BJJ... Apart from Carlos Condit who is actually exciting off of his back... And that really small Asian guy who wears the pants, god I can't remember his name, he flipped someone off after breaking their arm, not in the UFC... But God, with MOST fighters, as soon as it hits the mat the only excitement comes from hoping someone's going to find a way to stand up, because any sub that isn't a ****ing rear naked choke is basically unheard of now... Just people rabbit punching from the top, must hurt, but not going to put anyone out unless it's like that Shogun leaping punch onto Overeem.
7-5 Canelo. Lederman once again scored a little too freely for the guy walking forward and GGG and casual fans ate it up.
I don't think that is a fair score, and nor does basically anyone. I know what you mean though... But in most GGG-aggressive rounds, Canelo's moments of combos and counters were outweighed by the fact that Golovkin had him cornered and was landing shot after shot (even WITH the ones that were missing), and the jab comes into effect too of course. Pretty sure he hurt him a few times too, in separate rounds, but he kept backing off for respect of Canelo's power. It seems like he could take a nuke to the chin so maybe he should've stayed on him more.
i agree what you say but boxing is subjective i look for boxing skill to win fights like loma and rigo instead of Gatti and hatton and i personally believe saul Alvarez landed more with the cleaner shots, i would love to see the stats, im a guy that say that im wrong when im wrong so ill watch the fight again in the morning and rescore the fight but at this moment in time i believe saul Alvarez was brilliant tonight showed some real class and boxing skill set to counter GGG with some beautiful shots
How exactly he would have won? Even if he KO Canelo, they still would give a draw, and one of the judges would get it 117-111 or 118-110 again .... GGG did enough to win. He win clearly. It was not close fight. Canelo was there to survive and he survive but no wa he get even a draw from that. 8-4 rounds for Golovkin and even if you are biased 7-5 for GGG. Mexican fans booing Canelo tells you all.
