Yeah. Dodgy name,I know. He was one of boxing's unsung heroes. Born Rayt Marius in Eastern Europe. He was mainly a sparring partner through the 1930's to 1950's. He prepared Joe Louis for Tony Galento,and in his last years flattened Rocky Marciano in the gym while the Rock was training for the Cockell fight. He was given the name Kurt Nobbler by Jack Blackburn because after Joe hit him hard in the gym one day,Blackburn asked him how he was,and he mumbled something which Blackburn said sounded like "Kurt Nobbler"
