Not even two full years into his career, Nika was thrown into the ring with seasoned 20 fight veteran Brian Mitchell. He was blown out in 2 rounds. Definitely seems like a fighter that improved with time and experience.

Also twice fought Manning Galloway for a championship belt.

    Check it, and enjoy!

Commentator mentions that Blake has over 300 amateur bouts, with a rather sensational record of 298-7. One of the most impressive "never mentioned" amateur records I've ever heard of.

Bump. Maybe someone will know who he is after watching him stop Robin Blake in the fight I posted? He was actually a pretty damned good looking fighter. Aggressive, with a good work rate, respectable power, tenacity, with all the fundamentals down.

Nika Kumalo fought in a era where South Africa produced some fine boxers 130 - 135 lbs like Brian Mitchell and Phillip Holiday.
Footnote presently Kumalo runs a boxing academy in Capetown.
Holiday runs a boxing gym in Brisbane.
