I've not spoken about Naz vs Mayweather in this chat. Mayweather was a slick operator that is no doubt but only a casual would deny that Naz didn't have remarkable power at such a low weight.

Naz could call out the cruiserweights for not stepping up to fight him now

Naz Barrera was a huge anticlimax. Wasn’t gutted as he was one many wanted to lose being a cocky **** but supported him as a Brit. Got schooled but I said on a different thread that Naz was on the decline a couple of fights previously. Shouldn’t have been age or physically wise but started spouting religious bollocks and got lazy in the ring thinking he could just connect and knock them out without doing anything else. Was shocking against Barrera and outclassed but some thought he’d do that but Barrera too classy and clever for that

The fact he retired straight after proved in my own mind I was right. Don’t think his heart was in it by then and probably getting up to all sorts of non Islamic wrongliness wth his millions. Hookers and cocaine I expect. Plus pies of course. Many pies

He did not change his style to beat Hamed. If you saw the Salud fight before hamed, thats the style he employed. And it was not a close fight. 8 rounds easy for MAB, 2 close for hamed and 2 that could have gone either way. Honestly, hamed looked like a dumb rank amateur. Barrera made it look easy. Barrera knew he was so far up, he hammered hamed into the ring post risking a point deduction(which he got).

MAB through his career was a brawler up until that point.

Regarding it being a close fight with regards rounds, the Judges had it 115-112 (Barrera deducted a point for dirty fighting). This means if Naz won 2 more rounds, he won the fight. Sounds close. Facts disagree with your opinion.

I'm a huge fan of MAB, when I was a kid I used to name myself Marco on games at times.
