Despite the tight fights of the tourney, I think, as time as Bute fights the S6 losers one by one and defeats them as least as clear as the finalists and having HBO by his side, HE`S IN CHARGE.

No matter what S6-ers will do, they`re still on SHO.

The ultimate goal in pro box is to be on HBO and to contnue to win.

When the tourney will be over who`ll care some fighters were in a tight tourney as long as they won`t have more clear victories over the same men?

In this conditions, THE WINNER OF S6 WON`T BE RECOGNIZED UNDISPUTED SMW UNTIL HE FACES BUTE.

I think Kessler was the man and Ward beat him easily. So Ward is the man. With Bute close behind and the rest just about even. Basically.

Bute is a good fighter, no1 questions that. But at the end of the tourny, compare the winners resume to Bute's. Even with a defeat on their record, the winner will still be considered streets above Bute as the Super 6 takes away his opposition

I appreciate your objectivity.I`m Romanian.I just want to annoy some people heer.

That`s enough how much I heard: Bute still didn`t prove big thing.

I tell you what: a lot of people is jealous on Lucian`s succes especially being on HBO.

Imagine this: Bute remains undefeated and win over the tourney winner.Who will be the man then?

I agree is better opposition. But until that match Bute could meet Direll and Froch in Montral and beat them perhaps better than then that champion.

So, that champion will have one, maximum two tight fight wins added.Anyway Bute woud have some other Top ten contenders wins also. What would prove that?

You answered your own question. If Bute beats the Super 6 winner, he will be considered the best SMW in the world. Until then, he will be playing second fiddle to the likes of Ward and Froch (esp if he beats Kessler)

Hard to put Bute in 2nd with his best wins coming over 2nd tier fighters like Andrade & Miranda. I would have a few of the Super 6 guys ahead of him.

Agreed. At the moment i would score the SMW division as:
    1 Ward
    2 Froch
    3 Kessler
    4 Bute
    5 Dirrell
    6 Abraham

I guess we won't know until they fight him. The fact is, anybody who can avoid Andrade avoids him. You could be surprised by the result if he faces Froch, Green and even Abraham. They would at least have a very tough fight.

Bute looks stupid not fighting in Super 6. and has to wait a year to fight some of them, or move up/down in weight.

he has a lot of boxingtalent and power but how good is the chin?

I think Bute vs Kessler would be a war...

I'm not sure I will put Bute # 1 for many weeks (in fact days).
But he was number 1 or 2 before the tournament. Since, Kessler has lost and Bute has won twice. Dirrell has one loss and one win. That doesn't make you go from the 12th to the first place. Abraham has one win against Taylor, who was not at his peak, and one loss. That's not enough to propel him in front of Bute, he's new to the division. Froch has a point. Ward has a point. Green, well...

So, you put Bute, Ward and Froch at any place you want in the top three and I'm ok with it. Anyone who puts Bute past the 3rd place may be a fan wanting his boxer to be higher than he diserves.

Bute will lose ground if he doesn't fight big opposition but only to those who win. Next Saturday, for example, if Kessler wins, he's back in the top three. Froch is out. If Froch wins, he's #1 and Kessler falls back. In both case scenario, Bute stays in the top three.
