Which fighter is guaranteed to give you the most bang for your buck in MMA? BJ Penn GSP and Anderson Silva have to be on top of the list. But my moneys on Melvin Manhoef. Win or loose this guys fights are dynamite. His like watching a young Mike Tyson on PCP.

Manhoef is very fun to watch...The non-hesistant version of wanderlei silva is just as fun too. Win or lose you can generally be sure that they'll deliver the goods on a pure entertainment level.

I love Wandy but Manhoef is much more precise and polished striker than Wandy. Mnahoef hits alot of guys bang on the button and his boxing technique as a power puncher is very good.

Oh yeah i totally agree. I'm just comparing the excitement these guys bring to the table. Even though Wandy is not as polished (he does have a better submission defense than manhoef though)... he's still entertaining as hell (well , at least when he's not hesistant to be ultra offensive.)

Agreed. Doesnt he have a black belt in Jujitsu? Im not sure how much value it has though as his submission game seems to be fairly average in my opinion.

Some of Manhoef's most exciting fights are losses.
    Against Akiyama and Dong sik.
He looks phenomenal in these fights , it's like he took a pill of extasy right before the fight  , deadly accurate too. But mma is mma...and even the inferior striker , even the slow opponents have a chance to pull a victory with a solid gameplan.

Wandy is a very strange animal. He's never subbed anyone. (i think only once in his career)....but , it's undeniable that his sub defense is super-solid.

Thats my point. Its almost like watching him on fast foward but its all real time. Vs Dong Sik he just brutalised him and turned his eye into a grotesque golf ball in a matter of minutes! Shame his sub game is a bit weak but who cares! Win or loose Manhoef P4P surely has to be the most exicting guy in all of MMA.

I don't find his subgame to be particularly weak though. It can be deceiving (since some of his losses are via submission) , however , we shouldn't forget that Dong Sik (as one dimensional as he is)...happens to be world champion and olympic gold medalist in judo.

Akiyama also has an impressive record in the judo department.

If you look at manhoef's record. he's got 4 losses
But only 2 by submission. (and these two subs came from experts in the judo department...nothing to be ashamed about )
