It was only recently known for sure the weight was 143.

At the time of the first presser nobody knew what tf the weight was.

    Not even Ellerbe.

I had to eat crow cause I said 143.

Come on , you know who you are. Claiming JMM was a true warrior for making the fight at 147 when in fact it is 143.

On a side note this takes nothing away from JMM. I think he is a bad Mofo. just wanted to set the record staright that it is a fight at a catch weight also.

So if Pacquiao has a chance to fight the winner of PBF-JMM in the future then it has to be at 143 lbs. at most... nothing more... nothing 145... nothing 147...

Its amazing how people dislike Floyd, its an eight pound difference and everyone cries foul. But Hopkins brings Winky AND Kelly up ten pounds(both P4P Top Ten guys but not rated as high as JMM at #2) and no one cries. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

its always been 143. I think this is proof that Floyd can not make the 140lb limit. Because if he was able to make 140 then why make a catchweight of 143

People complained about Hopkins-Pavlik at a catchweight...just nobody cared enough to make a real big fuss out of it.

Exactly because Hopkins, coming off the Calzaghe performance, had everyone thinking Kelly would cruise to a UD, and some even thought he would stop BHop. So it was a smart move on Hopkins part not to garner any criticism for taking on someone who seemed was going to easily outpoint him.

I think he sees his future in the WWT division & 143 is still a WWT fight, why go back down, stay were you are or move up.
