^^:patschThat was way before steward was wlad trainer. Back then in 2002 wlad was more of a fun fighter to watch which back then he barely holds which he didn't even know how to hold correctly until steward teach him.

2002 Wlad. 2013 Wlad makes me want to take my own life just to put me out of the misery of watching him!

Doesn't fight like this anymore? Are you stupid? New? Back then way before Steward was wlad trainer that wlad was fun to watch which he didn't act like he was scared to get hit. With stewards and after steward pass away, with banks as the trainer for wlad, wlad is way more boring thanks to every clinch fest.

It was terrible. Wlad just can´t fight. He´s running and holding and leaning onto his opponents with the only intention to destroy a fight. Can´t believe there are still Klitschko fans.

Oh Wlad, what happened to you, Stewart created an almost invincible but ugly style boxer...

Wlad isn't always like that - even post-Manny Wlad - to the people claiming this one fight makes him the most boring dirty fighter on Earth.
He just seems to do it with smaller opponents like Haye and Povetkin who he can bully with his weight and height.

Look over Byrd-II, Wach, TT fights - he doesn't lunge in for a clinch after every jab in those fights where he faces someone of considerable size.

Seriously, I'm a Wladimir fan but this thread is beyond pathetic and stupid. Not a single serious(or normal) Wladimir fan would even rate that fight against ancient Mercer(who was coming off a chain of 10 rounders) and if he held in that one it would have been comical. Back then, Wladimir fought nothing like he does today, think that's obvious enough if you were born back then.

The Byrd rematch was a jab hugfest.

And what fight were you watching?
Wlad clinched and threw Haye around all over the ring like a doll. They both got points docked for it.

He didn't lean on and molest Byrd like he did with Povetkin. After every damn jab he was clinching this match.

Wladimar was an offensive machine in that fight.
It was a beautiful display of boxing.
No one better to be on the receiving end then Mercer.
