It was actually Fury and Usyk.
We have to go back to Fury's comeback where AJ and Wilder wouldn't fight. And as we can see that would have gone on until now.
When the AJ - Wilder fight fell through, Fury took the Wilder fight (earlier than planned).
After those fights Fury tried to make the AJ fight and AJ didn't have enough confidence and was busy digging wells for his bros in Nigeria.
Then Fury unified with Usyk and did two fights.
If Wilder had kept the belts, he and Finkle might have ducked Usyk after seeing how AJ couldn't handle him. So there'd be no uni fight.

But now Fury is gone so Usyk kind of ruined the division too. We're not going to miss the family or 'Sugar Hill', but Fury always made a splash with his fights one way or another.

People forget that the Arab also made these incredible fights:
    Croatian v Tom Little
    Fury v MMA fighter
AJ v MMA fighter (instead of AJ Wilder)
AJ v Wallin (instead of AJ Wilder)

See, if the Arab was really so concerned about match-ups, and was really such a sultan, he'd have told AJ and Wilder they had to fight or he wouldn't fund any other fights for them. This shows us he really has little power and influence.

I think Three people did their part in this! Usyk, Fury (Even though he was backed into a corner and MADE to defend against Usyk) and Turki. Made for two great fights though! Legendary.

Both played there part and also Fury, where does Heavyweight boxing go once Usyk retires and Turki loses interest though ? Power goes back to the promoters and we get the same old same old again !

Fury wouldn’t have fought Usyk without Turki forcing it, so he needs to be given a ton of credit. I don’t really see why Fury gets any credit when he ****ed around with so many pointless fights for years. He’s not the only one to put his belts on the line against Usyk either.

I'm just glad the HW division is actually moving in pace, and the standard for undercards are a lot higher.

Both. Turki because he gave Usyk a chance to dethrone Fury and Usyk because he removed the cancer that Fury was for HW division since 2022.

Another reminder to you: AJ signed the contract to fight Fury in 2021, but Fury had to fight Wilder. Again, why you're lying kiddo?

He also made a lot of Top 5 vs Top 5 and Top 10 vs Top 10 fights. Hell, if you count December, you have 8 out of 11 consensus Top 10 and a champion squaring off against each other in 6 months period.

Usyk. He was 100% willing to leave promotional politics out of his pursuit for the belts and didn’t mind fighting on his opponents home turf. If Wilder still had that WBC belt I’m sure Usyk would have went to Vegas or The Barclays for that fight regardless or whatever underhand tactics PBC would have tried to pull. Fury AJ and Wilder had years to unify and make those fights happen but neither were willing to bend from whatever demands they had.
