WHo Saw Joshua Clottey vs Margarito?

You didnt see the fight?

 

Clotty was definatly brining it to him the first 4 rounds. I haven't seen it in a long time but at the time I scored all 4 of them for Clotty. One often overlooked fact is that Margarito also fought that fight with an injured hand.

 

I saw it a few weeks ago. I had Clottey winning up to the hand injury. I was actually surprised to see Margarito handled so effectively. Clottey definitely deserves a rematch.

 

I saw it a few times. Clottey dominated the first four rounds. He must've landed about 40 flush left hooks/right hands in the first four. It was a boxing lesson. And in the 5th, he hurt his hand and the fight completely changed. I have no doubt that Marg's work rate and stamina had an effect but i can't help but think what would've happened if Clottey didn't seriously hurt his left hand, which is his bread and butter hand.

One judge had Marg winning like 10-2 which is ridiculous because if Clottey won the first four rounds clearly, how can he win only 2? :nut BTW, i had it 7-5 for Marg which means Marg won 7 of the last 8 rounds.

 

If I remember correctly, I had Clottey winning almost every round of the first six.

At the end I had the fight a draw ... didn't understand the official scorecards from Eugene Grant

 

Clottey did good the first 3 rounds,then he hurt his hand and started to lose rounds altough he had some flurries here and there

 

After Clottey destroys Zab, he deserves a Cotto or Margarito fight.

As far as Margarito and Cotto go, I wouldn't mess with Clottey if they dont have to.

Cotto should go for Cintron in Puerto Rico and Margarito should fight P-Williams if DLH wants none.

 

I know some people that thought margo won 2 of the first 4 (I am not one of them) maybe the judges saw it the same way.

 

I saw it and I think if Clottey wins against Zab they will meet again.

 

Are they related to Marg or Mexican? :nut

 

Margarito threw 1675 punches so he could win it.

 

I know. That's amazing. Marg's stamina, work rate, and chin is out of this world. He's been blessed. It's not pretty but it works.

 

I watched it and the best I can remember clotty was winning until later in the fight. Margarito picked it up enough to make it a clear win. This hand injury is new to me.

 

I saw it.

A lot of people will tell you 'if Clottey didn't hurt his hand, he would've won' but I don't buy it. The guy doesn't have the greatest stamina and fights in spurts. Margarito also had an injured ankle I believe
