Clottys hand was bruised its not like he broke it or fractured it. Tony hurt his hand too, so whats the point of this thread? fighters go into fights having diaria, colds, flu's, hurt ribs, ankles, wrist shoulders ect.

After so many years of not landing the big fight, Margarito who has always been willing to fight anybody, now deserves the chance to get paid handsomely.

Clottey and Williams at the moment, are big risk/low reward type of opponents. Margarito has already been that route, and now deserves the chance to fight for real money with the likes of DLH, Mayweather, Hatton, and the like.

......so before Clottey and Williams come into the picture, let Margarito have the right to negotiate for a big payday against an opponent that can give him that kind of pay!
.....off his win against Cotto, I think thats the least Margarito deserves.

Are you serious? So now, it's "screw everyone else, it's all about the money?" :huh If he is such a warrior he should have exercised his rematch option the first time he lost to Williams. Instead he just came out, made excuses, whined, brainwashed all of his fans into thinking he should have won, and continued to chase a big payday instead of fighting who deserves it....

Isn't that the same thing everyone, ESPECIALLY MARGARITO FANS, accused Floyd of doing to him years ago???

    HYPOCRITES! :nono

Margarito should have called it like it was, chasing the money, instead of talking about "Give the Mexican People a great fight"... What a load of BS!

Right now I would like to see Margs fight DLH and PBF before he fights Clottey and Williams
those fights are more interesting to me

Big difference, at the time Mayweather turned down Margarito, Mayweather was being offered 8 times as much money as he ever made.
Margarito was by far the biggest money fight for him out there, and he turned it down without even blinking an eye!

Let someone offer Margarito 8 times more than he's ever made to fight either Clottey or Williams, and I'm sure Margarito without hesitation would sign right now on the dotted line!:deal

    Do your homework son!!!

Mayweather most certainly made more than a million dollars against Gatti.

    Actually Guru...

While there are some distinct differences in the scenario, there are certainly more similarities.

Paul had to beg Antonio to fight him the first time. Antonio said "OK but not for the title and only 10 rounds" Finally when they fought, Paul beat him in his own back yard with AM clearly getting the bias from judges.

Now everyone says he "deserves" a shot at the big money? He's making MILLIONS already!!! He ain't starving or nothing! Besides, he isn't even the undisputed champ in his own division. As long as there is another champ out there with a belt... A BELT HE TOOK FROM MARGARITO... He should fight him without a question.

You know it. I know it. and most of all ANTONIO MARGARITO knows it!

Funny thing about it... there was an automatic rematch clause in the Williams-Margarito fight. It didn't happen. Meaning MARGARITO chose not to exercise it. And like you said, his fans wanna keep making excuses for him!

I remember Margo throwing tons of feather fisted shots, at least that what they looked like against Clottey since his defense and chin is so damn strong, He made Margo look ordinary, like everyone always says styles make fights!

I Scored The 1st 4 Rounds For Clottey And The Last 8 Rounds For Margarito...i Think A Rematch Would Be Good

If he broke his hand or only hurt his hand, eithe way I think he could've shown more toughness just like Mayweather and De La Hoya both have done numerous times in their careers. But I think we can all agree that whatever happened to the hand, it did make a difference in this fight. I had the fight 8-4 in favor of Margarito, Margarito clearly won. But I honestly think in a rematch where both fighters are 100% before the fight and throughout the whole fight, I think Clottey defeats Margarito by UD.
