I don't see any topics on this fight. From what I read on ESPN, Pac beat the snot out of Diaz. Who saw the fight?

I'm not sure if Pacquiao has improved that significantly since the Marquez rematch or maybe it's because Diaz isn't on the same stratosphere in terms of ability, but it was a completely one-sided affair. Pacquiao would just use angles and his quick pair of legs to get in and out, land some lightning combinations, and avoid the counters of Diaz.

Diaz showed heart, though. I'll give him that. His face at the end of the fight looked like a complete mess.

Saw it on my computer and it was a little blurry, but it was brutal. He really tore Diaz a new ass. P4P #1 right now for sure.

It was like a smaller, more brutal, Calzaghe vs. Lacey.

No topics? I saw about 30 topics in the general boxing forum the morning after.

Yeah - it was brutal. Pac tore his face up before a quality KO in the ninth. Never looked in trouble and he was fast and strong.

As already said though, not sure how to read it - whether Pac was really good or Diaz wasnt good enough.

Either way, good fight. Good result for Pac at LW and Diaz showed that he's tough but limited.

I saw it - Pacman looked like a million bucks, all the variety of punches, all in combinations, movement and so on. He looked great.

On the other hand, Diaz was an opponent bound to make him look good, even to the point of his courage making him plough on through a lot more leather than you'd expect...if Diaz had just folded in 2 rounds it wouldn't have given Manny the chance to show as much stuff, to look as good, funnily enough.

Crafty boxers are a tougher proposition for Pacquiao.
Which is as it should be, of course!
