Both beat Shane two times, and Mosley couldn't do anything to them. That was when Shane still in top-10 p4p (vs Forrest 1 he entered as top-3) Shane was one of my favourite fightres, and I was very disappointed watching him in those fights.
Really showed Mosley's very rigid ring IQ and his inability to adapt on the fly more than anything, if I'm remembering them correctly.
Forrest certainly asserted put more pain on Mosley, in my opinion. He had Mosley trapped along the ropes in their first match and was snapping his head around with fight ending punches. Only Mosley's granite chin kept him in there under that barrage.
Yes Shane lacked ring IQ unfortunately. Great speed and everything, but it hadn't helped him in those fights.
Hard to choose really, as you stated both beat him rather handily. But Forrest seems to connect more solidly. But sugar took the punches well.I was surprised at the results against both men, I expected Shane to trounce em tbh .
I never felt the Forrest fight was a schooling it was an old amateur rivalry where VW had his number they would never match up well but IMO Wright was a master who schooled him on a whole other level of old school cutey tricks and fight styles.
Forrest won more handily, and inflicted way more damage. Winky was really just a lot bigger than Shane.
I think they beat Mosley in different ways. Wright outclassed Mosley but Forrest just straight beat him up
Forrest beat him up worse, Winky outclassed him more thoroughly. And interestingly enough, Shane did perform better in the respective rematches than he had first go around. All the same, I was expecting a more spirited effort from him in the Vernon rematch.
His useless fatger in the corner didnt help much either. Anyway Forrest schooled hi, worse, he did ok in the winky rematch. Winky was just too big on top of his skills and style
