Wlad? Haye?:thumbsup Povetkin? Chambers? Thompson? :-(( Boytsov? :hi: Peter?:bbb Somebody else? :silly
Got to be Haye, as he has yet to face any live opponent at HW nearly losing to Big Foot, in a fight you'd have to smack yourself in the face just to stay awake. That mother****er needs to be tested finally. It will be a fight everyone will watch.
Correct! Although Bloodworth told us he think Tomasz needs another fight or two to be ready I think he has to jump on the opportunity NOW! When I last spoke with Tomasz, he stated that he believed he would be ready after he beats Arreola (this was immediately following his victory over Estrada).
I'm not so sure about the recovery idea. He will likely fight just one more fight this year, so he should have plenty of rest. If he wants to take K-bros he needs to keep climbing up and taking on the best opponents available is the best way of doing this. He can prep between the fights. Because this is already Adamek's 3rd division campaign, I believe he has a 2 year window max, to face Klitschkos. He should either target Povetkin or Haye (preferably) next and then go for the gold. Haye has already talked about possibly fighting the winner of Arreola/Adamek and HBO is probably keen on this too. I strongly think this is what Adamek wants. He did not enter the HW division to just hover around fringe contenders. He's serious making good money and about winning it all and will try it.
Haye would be the logical choice. I grew up during the glory days of the division, and even though Haye has a title, this fight would be almost like an old school contender vs contender heavyweight fight.
I voted for povetkin.....alexander needs to man up and fight soon.....why not adamek.....the winner gets a klit...
Thats one route. Altough it would kill the hotly anticipated Adamek-Haye fight at Wembley, this year. I heard HBO is all over this, esp. now since they had to jump Arreola's ship.
He may if HBO leans on him and offers big money. IMO, HBO sees Haye as likely losing to the K-Bros, with the fight not generating as much money as it should because of a lack of US interest in the Klitschkos. Therefore, they will want to squeeze as much money from Haye as possible and a fight with Adamek may be good for that. The winner of the face-off will get to build even more interest in their next fight against Wlad or Vitali. Don't forget the weird date that HBO pushed Adamek into the Arreola fight, just two and a half months after his fight with Estrada, may have something to do with HBO setting a date for Haye Arreola/Adamek in July or August.
Because of his size and moderate skill, Thompson wouldnt be a bad prep for the K-bros. But what are trying to do to the Americans dude...crush all their hopes with one fighter? IMO Adamek should face someone who hasn't faced the Klits like Povetkin or Haye, so he can try to shut someone down on their way up.
