I feel like of the options, Charr is probably looking mighty tantalizing, due to his inactivity, age and the fact that he holds a title, albeit one that's on the way out. Course in a year or two, it's very likely who holds that regular title or interim titles will become champions by default, after Usyk/Fury retires. Not the best way to become one, but I doubt Hearn gives much of a **** about the finer details like that Shame that AJ or whoever on his team is being so risk averse til the potential cashout with Wilder (which I'm slowly losing faith in ever happening), because while it looks the easiest route to a title it certainly isn't the only one. He could fight Wallin/Hrgovic for their spot in the potential vacant title fight and then fight the other one when the time comes. Both are tough challenges but perfectly winnable, and I don't just mean if he fights like he used to; I could see him outpointing either one, though Wallin would certainly be a tougher one to do so against. Then of course there's Zhang, the most appealing to the fans but the least desirable to AJ's team because of just how risky it is. He absolutely could not let himself be touched like he has in his last two fights though, which is a pretty big ask cause Zhang is one of the sneakiest punchers at heavyweight right now. Given that, I doubt Hearn wants them in the same time zone, let alone in the ring together
All roads seem to be pointing to Charr. Hearn even said in his recent interview "then we'll have 3 world titles.' We?? OMG, that guy is delusional.
Charr is in the combinations, this almost certainly means that he will be the opponent, just like in the last fight, Joshua will try to get an opponent who will be as weak as possible.
Hrgovic or Zhang is the only right answer if he's serious about his career and taking on the best anything else is a soft touch
Kabayel is a European-level boxer who doesn't have the class to fight top fighters, even Joshua like this would easily win...
Ngannou. If AJ can beat Ngannou Joshua vs Fury will be super relevant again in the public eye. Also Joshua can still be seen on billboards around the world. Joshua vs Ngannou will market well around the world. Define you in places like Saudi and Dubai.
Joshua spent a few days in the dark room to mentally strengthen himself, and Kabayel and Charr would not be suitable opponents, Joshua would beat them, Wilder or Hrgovic are the right fights for December and can bring a lot of good...
Call out Fury repeatedly, poke fun of the Fury-Ngannou to anger Fury and his Team, for a big all-UK bout. Who's the closest to Ng: Fury, Usyk, Wilder, or AJ? AJ. That was somewhat a blueprint back there, most applicable to AJ, hence no need to start from scratch. If AJ wins, he could be champ again, and with less risk of getting KO'ed himself if he loses. If he's champ again, he could pick his opponents once more, like start with Joyce, Dubois. Then Ng, Zhang.
Is this for real? Lol. Hearn has slammed Fury over the last few years for even thinking about fighting Charr or Kabayel. And it never actually happened. They also regularly hammer him for avoiding hard fights. Hearn and AJ are the greatest hypocrites in boxing by far. It's at a comical level now.
