I think he's ready to fight a fringe contender.

I'd love to see him in with a ranked heavyweight, but I think someone like Takam, Washington, Kuzmin, Browne or Martin would be the next logical step up for his 12th pro fight.

The most important thing is to stay active, become well-adjusted to professional boxing.

    Takam fight would be nice

I think Chisora would be ready after Pulev

Same goes for Dychko, one of the most underrated and unknown huge boxers in the recent years.

I think Jalolov has a better promoter in Lou DiBella than Dychko.

Dibella has already had him on ShoBox, so it it conceivable that Jalolov will appear on Showtime in the future. It may be easier for him to find decent opponents, since nationally televised fights give exposure and pay better.

    Probably someone like Wach.

He needs to build his name, none of the top 20 guys will fight him without getting paid, so he needs to up his profile and bring in some money.

I'd say he could fight the likes of George Arias or Charles Martin, followed by the winner of Kownacki-Demirezen. That'd put him in a position to fight an eliminator.

Yeah a known durable low Euro level guy such as a Wach or Duhaupas to give him some rounds rounds. Then next fight a high Euro level opponent someone like a Takam, Chisora, Yoka, Wallin, or Kuzmin. Then move onto a low world level opponent such as Pulev or Wilder.

Poor Gerald is shot. Mulowayi was a higher-level opponent for Jalolov than Gerald would be, though not by much. I don't think Arreola or Breazeale would want that work, either. And neither really poses the sylistic challenge I want to see Jalolov facing next.

We need to see him with an opponent who has a very good jab. As I've said before, Tony Yoka can play that role. It would seem to be a sellable fight (two gold medalists after all) and Tony really needs to step up and take a big risk to resuscitate his career. I'm not sure if he's up for that. Beyond him? Maybe Otto Wallin would take that fight. If so, that might actually be a step too far for Jalolov right now. Robert Helenius is another possibility - big, rangey boxer-puncher with a good jab (when he throws it).

Beyond those three, I have no useful suggestions. Fortunately, Jalolov - although living & training in the USA - has a European manager. Hopefully his manager can think of somebody whose name escapes me right now.

    One of these:

    Joel Tambwe Djeko
    Gerald Washington
    Bryant Jennings
    Bermane Stiverne
    Jerry Forrest
    Jarrell Miller
    etc.

I don't think he'd gain anything flattening Browne inside a couple of rounds. Kuzmin and Takam are fairly durable with not much risk. He would likely get some more rounds in. Those two are the ones I'd like to see the most, and probably the more likely, as Martin probably wouldn't bee too keen on fighting him, and Browne has a history of pulling out of fights.

Washington is shot and Stiverne is past shot. They aren't useful tests. If you're considering fighters in. the 40+ age demographic, then you might as well pick Mariusz Wach who at least has a jab that Jalolov will need to find a way around.

Bryant Jennings is more or less a camp fighter now. Too small, doesn't use his jab much.

Forrest is too small. Slow feet. Not accurate with his punches. Nothing here to slow up Jalolov.

Jarrell Miller? He's been inactive for 3 1/2 years....so nobody knows what to expect when he comes back. He's definitely a come-forward guy who likes to be right in his opponent's grill and be throwing most of the time. Don't see how he successfully closes the distance on Jalolov. And pre-PED Miller was not a huge puncher.

What's the point in that? He'd do well to last 2 rounds.

Give him someone like Johnathan Rice or Kevin JOhnson.

Jonathan Rice isn't too bad of a choice, but he's fairly similar to Mulowayi. Kevin Johnson's whiskers are the stuff of legend, but he's a pretty unique fighter in the division. He's become almost a "rite of passage" for up and coming European fighters but I don't think he's indispensable for the deveopment of a guy like Jalolov who already moves really well.

Someone durable enough to give him rounds but not good enough to expose his shortcomings. A Jerry Forrest or Jarrell Miller type of opponent fits the bill.
