Next weekend, Lucian Bute fights Brian Magee which is a fight where basically everyone expects him to win. The question is who should he fight next? The super six tournament is still in play with Ward vs Abraham and Froch vs Johnson in may and with each winner possibly fighting each other in the fall sometime. Besides these four, Kessler has been sidelined with an eye injury lately, Dirrell and Green don't look like they are returning any time soon unless it's a tune up fight, and Stieglitz and Sartisan has just signed to fight each other. Now that really doesn't leave anyone at all in the division. I also truly wish to not see Bute vs Mendy take place either. So any thoughts on who he should fight after Magee?

Kessler really wants to fight the winner of the super six tournament.. you think he'll fight Bute before then?

I was hoping for Showtime to push them to fight for the right to face the winner! i wouldn't be surprised if it was Direll though!

To be honest i wsish it would be anything but Mendy!

Yeah.. My guess is that they'll probably have Kessler fight Dirrell with the victor fighting the winner of the tournament.. I'm seeing Bute with no options after the Magee fight and I'm tired of seeing him fight lesser competition.. There were mentions of trying to get Pavlik to fight him, but I see that as a blowout for Bute.

Pavlik would bring nothing to Bute , at least Magee his a southpaw and could prepare Bute for an eventual match-up with Ward or Direll!

I can't believe that Showtime sign Bute with no plans for him! maybe they plan him to fight one of the semi loser ?

I'm a big Bute fans and i really want to see him fight a big name this summer!

Bute vs Hopkins is what I'd like to see most.

maybe pavlik??? i dunno its tuff 2 say . if this st juste guy wins i think he mite fight bute. there realy isnt ne one for him to fight. i dont think pavlik gonna jump into a big fight with bute. an pav still gotta get passed alfonso lopez dude that seems to be a tough comeback fight.

i do want pavlik/bute more then anything at this moment. an bute will thrash him

Why do you want that fight if you think Bute will thrash him?

I'm not quite sold on this Renan St. Juste guy.. Bute needs to be fighting top competition..

It would be nice to see Kessler and Dirrell each fight a quick tune-up, and after that Bute/Dirrell and Pavlik/Kessler. The winners square off for the right to fight the S-6 winner.
