who should be miguel cotto's next opponent?

    After losing to canelo, where does cotto go from here?

    Who should cotto fight next?
    I've been hearing rumors that cotto wants marquez as a potential opponent.

    How many more fights is there left in cotto?

    What if Tim bradley fights cotto?

    Definitely a move back to 154, not that he really ever left the division.
    But the thing with 154 is that there are no big names there.
    A Marquez fight would be big but is Marquez willing to move up to 154, especially after such a long layoff? Fortunately there is a possibility of a catchweight.

    Why? He still has one lucrative fight in his contract. Heck, he could keep fighting the likes of Rodriguez on regular HBO for a while and make millions.

    He should go after someone younger than him.
    Whoever it may be, I think he's losing. If he gets lucky and gets a jmm or bradley, he should be able to go out a winner

    How I see it...
    Potential fights for cotto could be...
    Cotto-marquez, that's ppv worthy and would be a beatable opponent for cotto and would give a nice payday f both marquez and cotto. Plus not to mention, you would have the mexico-puerto Rico rivlary angle. This potential fight is certainly doable.
    Cotto-bradley, that's ppv worthy but bradley could pose a bigger challenge to cotto than marquez. Not sure if cotto would do that fight.

    Cotto-garcia, what if cotto moves down to ww and takes on Garcia for a title shot. I can't see cotto taking this fight, Garcia is much younger and riskier opponent for cotto.

    Cotto-guerrero, would be a stay busy fight for cotto and two names recognizable in boxing world. This fight could be competitive.

    Cotto-pacquiao 2, why not? Would be nice payday for both fighters.

    Cotto-canelo 2, rematch and big payday for both fighters, host it on Cinco de mayo or mexican independence day in september.

    Cotto-trout 2, revenge fight for cotto.

    Those are the only opponents I see cotto potentially fighting.
    Opponents like golovkin, thurman, porter, brook, khan, lemieux, any top 10 middleweight fighters would be people he would stay away from.

    I can only see cotto/jmm...cotto/Bradley....wouldn't mind seeing either one ...other than that he can retire...not much interest in seeing him fight any others really...nothing left to prove imo
