Hole in one. This^ We're lucky to have both these guys active at the same time. 6 guaranteed KO's a year :deal
Well, ignoring the fact that a) I think P4P is pointless subjective BS anyway and b) Chocolatito is at least the equal of either... Firstly I wouldn't consider Canelo to be a particularly major feather in GGGs P4P cap anyway, despite his impressive resume, stylistically Canelo is pretty much tailor made for Golovkin and while he's very solid he is just not that good. Secondly, we don't know yet just how good a win Ward would be for Kovalev - sure, if he shows he's still the same guy that fought in the S6 and that he can carry that up to LHW it'd be a major win for Kovalev - probably his best to date, but right now we just don't know what Ward has left. Let's hope the Barrera fight comes off and gives us some real answers. Finally - and echoing the sentiments of some other posters, clearly Kovalevs resume is already much better than Golovkins, and a win over an in form Ward would only increase that margin, but my gut instinct - the eye test if you like - is telling me that Golovkin is the more complete fighter of the two, even if he has yet to prove it.
ricardo lopez syndrome sadly... i dont know why the general public ignore the lower weight classes so much. great action and at the moments they have some stacked divisions and great superstars that love putting on a good show like inoue or chocololito being the 2 obvious ones. most welterweights are smaller or Just on average size anyways so whenever people meet them in person its always "i was suprised at how small they were"
How can anyone say Golovkin is a better fighter than Kovalev? Kovalev has beaten the better competition.
