To me, there is only one guy:lyoto machida.

by far the most worthy. look at his wins: stephan bonnar, rich franklin (a brutal ko), bj penn (okay, huge weight difference, but still..), sokajou and tito ortiz.

so why hasnt he recieved a shot?? my guess is that the ufc dont want him to be champ cause he is a defensive fighter (by mma standarts) and may not be a big draw.

personally, i always think that if a guy can win with that style, he should stick with it. this is a sport and not bumfights after all.

i also think he would dethrone rashad.

agreed. i just hate rashad as a fighter, i hope someone embarasses him. and the man to do it is lyoto. i can see it now.... rashad dances around lyoto, lyoto then feints a punch then throws a wicked knee (like the one he gave tito) and next thing you see is greg jackson picking up rashad's shredded liver from the octagon.

Machida KO1 via carreer ending knee to the liver.

I'm not even, in the slightest, interested in any of Rashad fights at all, at this point.

I hope its not Machida because it would be the worst fight in years.

Rashad is just as defensive as mr Machida:yep so that cant be.

I blame this on Chuck Liddell constantly main eventing in the most over crowded talented weight division, slowing down the process of title shots given.Looking back,I believe Rampage could have had 4 title defenses if not for chuck substituting the lhw main cards.

Machida seems to be the most deserving of a title shot - however a fight between Evans and Machida would be a five round bore fest with neither committing to the attack.

winner of the machida silva match. its bull that machida didnt get a shot at page. then that he got screwed from forrest. he should have faught and would have won the belt already. forrest was a bs title shot rashad was ok but considering that before the chuck ko he had a competitive split desicion with now mw mike bisping and drew tito in a fight that the ref made the call that saved him his unbeaten record. i dont think he was the most deserving either.

if you look at it that way the last two ufc lhw forrest and rashad should have never been in title fights but the ufc likes them and not machida.

what makes you think that. he got tooled wrestling wise against tito. and if forrest had ko power instead of feathers in his fist he would have been koed. page beats him. thiago silva has a good shot at beating him. i think machida easily out points him. i really dont see him tooling anyone aside from the has beens of the division in chuck and wand. and the glass jaws of the division in forrest and jardien.( i know they are team mates and will never fight eachother)

this is true this is all becasue of chuck. if that win wasnt seen in such high regard then rashad wouldnt have had a title shot and wouldnt be regarded so high. chucks career is dead and beating him isnt what it use to be. he has lost his ko power reflexes and chin. a record of 1-3 in his last 4 with two ko loses and no ko wins shows this. i mean he couldnt beat glass jawed jardien and couldnt ko wand who is 1-4 in his last 5 with 3 ko loses.

I wanted to see Rampage challenge Rashad first. But now I think it should be the winner of Lyoto/Silva.

Machida or Sylvia, but it wont suprise me if Machida is overlooked again.
