Yes, I think we'd all love to see this one, but I don't believe Wlad should sit the rest of 2007 out to wait for the winner.
Wlad will reportedly fight in the US next, so the opponent will likely be an American. Believe it or not, of the available Americans on the list, I think Holyfield would give Wlad the most trouble, though Wlad would still win fairly easily. But I don't want to see Holyfield forced into retirement, so I voted for Briggs, cuz I'd enjoy seeing Wlad KO his ass.
I voted for Holyfield. I know I said Sanders might be his best option at this point but Holyfield brings PPV dollars and a great name for the resumé with limited risk factor. He's American, and he always comes into the fight in shape & ready to rock. Sanders would be my 2nd favorite choice followed by Valuev, Liakhovich or the Kraniqi vs. Thompson winner. Valuev would be interesting because Wlad has never faced anyone that much bigger than he is (who has:yep ) and it would sell great in Germany. Liakhovich because it's an interesting clash of styles being Wlad is so effective from the outside & Sergei is great on the inside. Krasniqi would be great just to shut the Artani idiot up! Thompson would be okay as another American contender.
**** Briggs. He was just outpointed by a lessor technician in Sultan. Not that Iggy didn't deserve the win mind you.....................Wlad would beat Briggs silly at this point. Let him prove he wants it bad enough by fighting a couple of respectable opponents within the top 20 or so.
Golota wouldn't be too bad either......................I forgot about him. Not that he really stands any kind of decent chance but he could bring some big $$$ if the fight is in either Chicago or New York.
:rofl Like I said **** Briggs unless he gets serious & beats a couple of reasonable contenders.............................
Liakhovich should have at least a vote or two, c'mon guys, fights are all about contrasting styles & Wladimir vs. Sergei would be a great fight IMO.
He did fight "scared" vs. Briggs no doubt but he was never that kind of fighter before, maybe that's why he's so inactive at this point? He went toe to toe with Guinn & Brewster didn't he?
Liakhovich needs to get back in the ring with a tune up before he gets in the ring with Wladimir, Were the hell is he!!! Two times Liakhovich has turned a eliminator with Davaryll Williamsonatsch Whats wrong with this guy?:huh
