Margarito or Clottey...I think shane will still be too much for him right now. I would like to see him fight another top 10 welterweight and a fight with clottey or margarito should tell us if he is ready for the top dawgs pac-mosley-mayweather....cotto is now fighting at 154 so i won't even include him.

This is the perfect opportunity for Paul Williams to get back into welter weight.....
Take the WBC and then maybe he can get some fights with the top 3...

    Hatton. :deal

Berto needs a big name on his resume without the danger of a high risk.

Unify with Zaveck! Mosley/Pac/Mayweather/Cotto will murder Berto!

Tough to say but there are many interesting options for Berto. Hope he fights soon again

Depends... if you want to see if he could actually improve as a fighter then put him in there with a B level opponent like Collazo for example.

If you want to see this pretender plastered on the canvas than put him in there with an elite welterweight and sit back and enjoy as he gets dominated and horribly mangled.

Luis deserves a rematch. Not to mention, if Berto wants to keep his WBC Welterweight belt he better not go anywhere near Pacquiao, Floyd, or Mosley.

Personally, as what J.R. said above me I hope he goes after an elite fighter and gets his ass kicked.

Nah, he's a cool dude. I really respect what he did in Haiti. Overall, he has charisma to be very marketable.

I think he needs a new trainer, couple of more B level fights to get used to his new trainer's style, and then he'd be set.

But putting a weak chinned, sorry defense Berto against Mosley was a bad call by Berto's promoter Lou in my opinion. He should definitely learn how to box, feint, use his athleticism and strong upperbody to over power his opponents inside and out. But the way he fights now will only lead him to get knocked out by a more experienced, powerful counter puncher.

Put him in there with Grandmaster Clottey.

berto been battle tested...but it seems like he never really stood on top of the hill after his battles... it's always a squeek of a win..... berto collazo 2 would have been good in his favor...but he knew the risk in that.

i think ricky hatton would beat berto.

    yeah...i said it.

    thats because you're a moron

but on a more logical standpoint, right now Berto can only feast on B leveled fighters he needs to get a better trainer before he can be put in with the likes of Pac,Mosley and Williams.

He should rematch Collazo, that was far from a decisive win. I think Collazo would beat him on last night's form.

Give him either PBF or Mosley, Berto will take either guy out of there, he's got the power to do it and cause an upset.

A prime Hatton i could see beating Berto, but the current beach ball version of Hatton needs to retire. He'd lose to anyone above C level at 140 or 147 now IMO.
