    Aside from his first controversial tko defeat earlier in his career he's only lost to top tier competition, which at best means that his at that level, and at worst means he is one of the gatekeepers of the elite along with others like Cintron and Quintana for example.

    Berto better start fighting great names, I don't believe in the "he isn't ready yet", he is 24 for God's sake. What! will you rather see him like Chavez Jr.. Step up already.

    personally i think he should do this "EURO-STYLE"............in other words, take on the weak links in this rather weak group.

    he is still young and this title came a bit too soon for him. hey, the euros do this all the time.............so why not give him two easy ones first.

    said ouali and zamora for starters. then step it up a little with a defense vs the capable euro champ bonsu.

    and THEN go for a big name.

    Luis Collazo. Collazo has world class skills but is not a puncher. If Berto dominated a quality fighter like that, it would be impressive. Or he could try his luck with recently deposed, but still top cotenders, champions Kermit Cintron or Carlos Quintana.:smoke:smoke

    Berto vs Collazo because it would be a great measuring stick. Both Hatton and Mosley fought Collazo so we could gain a lot of insight as to what Berto is made out of if he did fight Collazo.

    You relaly are showing your ignorance.. MAYBE you should look at the very bottom of the list when reading the WBC rankings... AFTER 40... People fighting for titles and in title eliminators for ANOTHER sanctioning body aren't on the list... Beltholders in other abc corporations are only mentioned at the top, people who been knocked out get a medical next to their name.... blah blah blah.....

    Let's see......

    Collazo will put his skills to the tst...

    Bonsu will test his chin....

    Baldomir will not only test his toughness more, he'll also give us a chance to see how Berto reacts when Baldomir's oversized head absorbs Berto's best shots as the fight gets real deep...

    That Hlatswayo guy should go to 140...

    #7 and #9 are fightin each other soon...

    Said Quali is actually a good fighter...

    If Baldohead can make 147, Berto/Baldomir would be my pick...

    Collazo would be my next pick for him if I was his management. He's not ready for top level opponents.....but unfortunately I think he will lose to top level opponents no matter if he's ready or not

    Berto fans are just afraid because he will surely lose to the top dogs. Great, exciting fighter to watch, but he will get a boxing clinic from top guys
