Any light heavy with a pulse would be nice.

Unify the belts? How about actually winning ONE for a start?

    :huh

You actually value the alphabet trinkets?

That's the problem with boxing today.

More than I value a magazine title that RJJ, Tarver, Johnson and now Hopkins have passed around like an old mans plaything, yeah.

The Ring belt is great in theory. But the fact that there is no pressure to fight anyone meaningful is as big, if not a bigger flaw than anything the alphabets have.

It's not impossible that Hopkins could fight RJJ in a year. Let's say he wins.

Then rematches Tarver another year later.

You've now got a 44 or 45 yr old man, fighting a 40 yr old, and The Ring will still blindly say that it is for the real LHW belt. Even though by then there would probably be a dozen guys at least that could beat either one of them.

The Ring belt in conjunction with an alphabet belt seems to usually work. Once the Ring belt is on its own, it's really a lottery IMO.
