i think he should fight a guy like camcho jr first.and then gomez.so he can get a little more experince cause he need's it and later on he is going to be a great contender and great champ TRUST ME:good
there are not really names in the 154 division. maybe mora if he looses to forrest. i see chavez jr. mayorga or chavez jr delahoya looming for 2009.
154 division is weak and poor atm and tbh if he's good enough he could wrap up the whole division. why is he having so many fights that get him nowhere in the rankings?
Most of the top 10, even in the weak LMW class, would beat Chavez badly. If I'm Arum, I pray that Hoya wants to go out on a winning note and have Chavez fight creampuffs until he gets the call to fight Hoya in Mexico City. If that never happens, then Baldomir is probably the guy he has the best change of beating. Another option with somewhat of a name, although he's not a top 10 guy, is Bradley Pryce.
I would try get Chavez Jr. Alfonso Gomez after he beats Camacho Jr. Then probably look someone like a Carlos Baldomir can be thought of from there.
Could he trim down to 147? That's where the money is! But I don't know, he looks pretty thin as it is.
