Jr is now mandatory for Jacobs WBA strap, but there's huge talk that he's fighting Blackwell for the British title. Who should he fight?

  2. Is this a serious thread?

Fight for a world title or fight for the British title? It's like asking if you want to sleep with Jennifer Lawrence or some slag down your local.

Jacob's doesn't have a 'proper' world title but it's still a more significant accolade than the British title at that level - and it'll expose him to the US market.

That being said, I think he could do with another fight before going onto Jacobs. Blackwell is decent - not great - and will certainly make him work hard. There's no rush for CEJ really as he is still quite young so I think another fight he'd be expected to win but will be tough would be beneficial

the question is though is he ready for Jacobs?

  5. That wasn't the question asked at all.

If he's going to keep calling out bjs he has to fight jacobs next. You can't become mandatory for a world title then keep calling out a world champion only to then fight for the british title. If he thinks he's ready for bjs go and beat jacobs and prove it!

  8. Its ironic you're talking about a poster that isn't here on your second account. Use your normal login Terry.

Mandatory for the WBA mandatory position... todays boxing is so weird.

I'd say if he really believes he's good enough, fight Jacobs and try to become GGG's mandatory.

Thing is though the wba regular champion never becomes the wba super champions mandatory unless he wants too lmfao it's all a joke, it's how ward held on to his title for 7 years without facing a mandatory and how Scott quigg was regular champion for ages without ever been mandated to fight rigo

    However povetkin enforced his mandatory

Fight for the British. It is a proper title with real history. The WBA regular belt is not recognised by me.

Fight Blackwell, if he wins he can keep the hype train rolling.

Fight Jacobs, and he'll be taken apart within a few rounds, and his level exposed.

He's not ready for a world title shot, do it the right way and build himself up to it and fight for the British first. It's comical how so many posters have gone full re**** over the Eubank situation.

If he beats Nick he can then renegotiate with Sky/Matchroom from a position with more power. If Hearn wanted to keep him he should have done his job and won the purse bid.

Agree, beat Blackwell then in the unlikely situation of brook vs Khan finally happening in summer, maybe Hearn can tempt Jacobs over to be on Undercard at Wembley.

Jacobs. He's mandatory for a "world title" so why not fight for it?
