Who should Cotto fight next?

I would of liked to see him against Cintron, Clottey or Margo at the very least.

All 3 were available and somehow Gomez gets it.



Although out of all of these fights, I would prefer Cotto-Floyd.

After he beats Gomez, then I'd love to see Cotto fight Margarito or Williams. Cotto vs Mayweather would be the "ultimate fight" though but I don't think that's a fight that will happen in the near future.

 

gomez isn't a bad choice while he waits for Floyd. He's a big tough kid with decent skills. And besides Cotto's earned an opponent like gomez anyway. But in the future he needs to fight Paul Williams and the winner of Contron Margo.

 

Mayweather.

The Fishnet has to get out of the way so Cotto is the largest payday for Floyd, and vice versa. Then Arum and Floyd have to stop acting like children and agree to terms.

Fighting Gomez, and then on to Margarito.

 

In order of my preferences on who Cotto should fight:
1 Mayweather
2 Paul Williams
3 winner of Cintron Margarito

 

maybe we'll have it backwards...

 

mayweather...and thats what cotto wants also...but Arum doesnt want it so instead will get cotto-gomez and cotto-marg/cintron...then cotto-mandatory

Margarito, since Williams is set to fight and it might be a while till he's ready for the next one then Margarito wouldn't be a bad challenge for now. I don't know how accurate this is but according to Boxrec he's set to fight Alfonso Gomez next, wonder why not many are crying about it like they normally do whenever Mayweather is "rumored" to fight someone they wouldn't want. Alfonso Gomez?, why? :huh
