Who should Danny Garcia fight next if no Mayweather?

    First and foremost, i don't think he should fight Floyd next. He's never fought at WW, and his profile still needs some building up, although he got great exposure in his last fight, which happened to be the most significant fight of his career in which he put on a tremendous performance.

    But i digress. Personally, i would love to see Garcia-Broner for the WBA title. Garcia-Guerrero is a good 2nd choice for me, it would give more legitimacy to Mayweather-Garcia if Garcia beats one of Floyd's recent opponents. I thought of adding Victor Ortiz to the poll, but i'm not convinced that he even wants to be a boxer anymore.

    There's nobody left at 140 unless he goes after Petersons IBF belt. Not a bad fight.

    Alexander would be a good fight if he moves up.

    Garcia will be paid, He has some good options should he move up to 147lbs.
    Fight Paulie in Brooklyn, Get Ortiz in his comeback, Fight Guererro, Berto...

    Maidana... should/When he beats Broner.
    (But exclude AB, A fight Vs. Swift will never happen)

    After what ive read on here he needs to rematch Lucas. 21 low blows and a thumb to the eye is no way to win a fat

    Guerrero or Alexander seems perfect.

    Maidana/Broner winner probably wouldn't fight again until March or April at the earliest, which would take Garcia out of a potential Floyd clash in May.

    If Garcia wants Floyd in May, then he needs to face a top 10 WW in December or early January.

    Well like the thread title says, this is about who should Danny fight if he doesn't get Mayweather next, and i really think he should fight at least óne significant fight at 147 before he steps in with Floyd which won't happen on such a short term, so a fight with the Broner-Maidana winner in spring 2014 would be a dream scenario IMO

    Yeah I was thinking if he fights someone before Mayweather still with the intent to fight Mayweather.

    But yes, agree with you 100%.

    Broner, Guerro, Maidiana, even Paulie Would be a good match up. I think Victor Ortiz may be a little big for Danny coming in.

    angel said his son is staying at 140 period. i think he should fight lucas in rematch just to silence his naysayers bitching about danny fighting dirty.
