Who should Danny Garcia fight next if no Mayweather?

Rematch with Lucas, but since it's not listed, Broner. I just think they could be a really good fight.

Cant believe the Lucas fan boys want a rematch with Garcia. How about Lucas rematches Zab and Alexander before he steps into the ring with his daddy Garcia again. The 140 pound king dont need to prove anything.

 

He's not in Mayweather's league and there are plenty of good fights against lesser guys to be made for him. I'd rather not see him relegated to "bum" status (ala everyone else Mayweather has beaten in recent years) just yet.

If he does stay at 140, then obviously a rematch with Matthysse is the most significant fight there. Nobody at the weight really for Garcia to significantly increase his resume...

At the same time the first fight was decisive enough that an immediate rematch wouldn't even be all that impressive as opposed to how impressive it would be if a different fighter were to fight and beat Lucas at the moment. We already know that in September of 2013, Garcia was the better fighter.

 

I agree but that would be a bad decision on his part, with all the other options available to him.

 

I agree that the result would probably be the same in a rematch because Matthysse is a puncher ,first and foremost, and was seemingly unable to hurt Danny...besides a few isolated moments when Garcia clearly felt the punch but got back to work immediately afterwards.
The only reason I'd see for Matthysee to pursue a rematch( and it's a significant one) is money. They'd both make more against each other than they would against anyone else...except Floyd of course.

 

I don't know man. I'm sure Broner could net each of them a bigger purse. Plus a few Top Rank guys which, obviously, isn't even worth discussing.

Garcia is not going to be fighting Mayweather any time soon. Team Garcia and his management are not asking for it nor frankly should they. Garcia is coming along nicely so need to sacrifice him to Mayweather. Rematch with Matthyse and other good match ups available.
