he says he wants to move down but i dont think his work is done yet at light heavyweight.he also said he wants big fights but he's gonna have to look impressive against quality opponents.i wanna see him fight diaconu or glen johnson again.good performances against either one of them will land him a big fight imo

as long as they're negotiating with glen johnson now (as seen on the scene) i think that'll be just fine!

Johnson rematch. It was a close exciting fight. Glen put in a great underdog showing and won many ppl over - even those who believe that he came up just short.

I'd like to see if Chad can beat him decisively.

And I think Tavoris Cloud should knock some guy out on the undercard, make a statement, perhaps get some rds vs a southpaw (like Johnson did with Pineda) and show ppl that he's next in line, and get ppl interested in Cloud v Dawson.

^^ That about wraps things up. He should stick at 175.

To be honest, I'm surprised he hasn't called out Roy. I don't want to see it, but I'm surprised he hasn't done it... easy fight for him, and a good payday. Terrible fight, but I don't know what's stopping him.

Johnson would be good. but if not he should just drop drop to 168 were the action is. No money in fighting Johnson, and I honestly think that Johnson would make a mistake and try and attack Dawson in the beginning the way he did at the end of the first fight. At which point I think that Johnson could get himself in trouble.

It's a pretty barren waste land at 175. With wins over Johnson, Tarver (2) and Adamek there really isn't much more to see there.

Once you eliminate guys he's already fought (thus removing Glen Johnson temporarily), you have Clinton Woods, Tavoris Cloud and (yes) RJJ. Cloud seems to be waiting for a Dawson fight but not doing anything to further build a case for it. It's a fight I think he'd have a decent shot at winning as well. Clinton Woods is a pseudo option. If Dawson's people went to HBO with Woods as their preferred opponent, HBO would say "Get the **** outta here and come back with something serious." Showtime would probably be intrigued but I figure Dawson is looking to be HBO's golden boy. That leads us to RJJ. IF RJJ was willing to change his "PPV or nothing" ways I think HBO would be consider it...especially as a favor to a guy they made tons of cash off of.

Technically Glen Johnson should be the right option but if you're looking for some fresh fights, you got a few there.

It is really hard to get big fights when you win by boring decisions, duck mandatories and refuse rematches. Dawson has brought it all on himself.

    Johnson.

Then Diaconu, Garay and Erdei - assuming all of them still hold belts at the time.

Cloud or a catch-weigth fight with Kessler, Bute or Froch in the meantime would not be bad ideas either.

Once he does that - a move up and a fight with whoever is dominant at cruiser (hopefully a rematch with Adamek)!

Hopkins would be good - but he seems to want Chad as much as AIDS.
