What's Margarito's other big win. Clottey? You mean the same Clottey that was absolutely whooping his ass until he hurt his hands and coasted to a loss. Cintron? He had potential but never lived up to it. He has done nothing in his career but proved what a mental midget truly is. Sergio? OK, I guess that one works. But, it says something when Sergio was begging for a rematch and Margarito wanted no part of it.

    You guess Sergio works?

No, theres no guessing about it. Sergio has lost twice in his career. One of those L's came to Margarito, and it came by stoppage.

Margarito stopped Miguel Cotto and Sergio Martinez. That shits over most of anything else many Mayweather opponents have ever done.

I have to respectfully disagree with this, while Margarito is more popular than the fighters listed. Judah has been undisputed at 140/147 and is still fighting on a championship level today. Baldomir was undisputed at 147 and has tested himself thru more weight classes against higher comp
Guerrero love it or hate it has beaten championship quality fighters thru 4 weight's.Ortiz I'll admit was just hot at the right time.

3/4 of those guys has a very legit argument of being ranked higher than Margarito. only one I wouldn't say it's more accomplished is Ortiz and all he really need is one quality win to be rated higher than Margo.

Cotto win means nothing because he could have had the plaster in his gloves. If he really wanted to put a stamp on the victory to show that it wasn't fluke why didn't he win the rematch?

I say I guess because at the time Sergio was still on the come up and nowhere near hitting the peak he eventually hit. And I say again. Why no rematch? Sergio was begging for it. He was begging for it even after Shane already dropped Margarito's ass. Why didn't Margarito step up? It's not like he had a crap load of fights lined up.

Opponents fans would've wanted to see. Just like it's with every fighter.

    Mismatches are for fanboys.

I think the biggest misconception with this statement is for the most part fans are stupid. I go back to the Margarito/Baldomir debate now that both there careers are over it's very easy to see who fought better comp and tested themselves more yet Margarito is considered better.

As fans we should demand the highest rated fighters fight each other regardless of styles or who you like more take the upcoming Mayweather-Alvarez bout it's the most popular fight right now because of the fans Alvarez has and his "size" but between 140-154 there are plenty of more accomplished fighters that deserve this fight instead Alexander,Bradley,Mathysse,Lara for starters.

Yet outside of Mathysse, Mayweather would get killed for fighting them due to the belief that you can only beat Mayweather by ko. Meanwhile Alvarez is praised like some god and he hasn't even fought Corley level comp, While a guy like Broner is bashed for the exact same level of comp.

fyi I'm a fan of Alvarez and dislike Broner.

Yeah it was PBF who walked away from the from the fight back in 2009 to fight Clottey a guy coming off a loss because of drug testing? Yeah it's PBF's fault. You're one ignorant person to think that. The evidence clearly shows it was Arum and Pac who didn't want the fight. Now all of a sudden Pac is going to take the drug test against Rios the same type of test he refused to take for a possible fight with PBF. Why the change of heart now? Why didn't he agree to this years ago? We would have seen this fight already if he simply agreed. Anyone with a ounce of common sense can see it was Arum and Pac who did everything in their power to not fight PBF.:deal

I think a lot of that was Pac not wanting to give into Floyd's demands.. And the possiblity of course that he probably was doping.

Him taking the tests now, just isn't the same.. He has been knocked out.. He was in a totally different place to negotiate back when the fight should have been made.

I just wish Floyd had said to hell with testing and kicked his ass. I am sure he has already whipped his share of doped fighters .

Mayweather fought Baldomir instead of Margarito because he was told by Arum, that there would be no 20 million fight with DLH, so he fvcked Arum off, got the fight with Baldy, then went on to make 26 mill against Oscar.

Anyone denying this can only be Jewish, and would rather believe a piece of **** like Arum over the fighter involved.

The problem with that though was Mayweather had agreed to all of Pac's demands, Floyd only had one.
