He has said that he will not be fighting anyone too difficult until he gets into shape, so I assume that would mean the other champs.

That still leaves a wide variety of of possibilities.

Sam Peter has called him out. Briggs has been mentioned. With all respect to Bellow, I don't think he would be too difficult because of size.

Who is your ideal comeback opponent?

A solid high end journeyman over 6 rounds. Like the guy who fought David Price.

Please not Chisora again..i respect Delboy but Fury destroyed him when they fought the second time. ..Chisora couldnt land a punch on the champ.

A solid, high end journeyman. At heavyweight, does Tony Bellew not arguably match that description?

I know its not a meaningful fight but I would like to see Fury vs Bellew next. Its a decent test, an in shape and motivated Fury should make easy work of Bellew. But Bellew is a tricky ask if he's not on his game, Bellew could cause an upset if Tyson doesnt have his **** together properly.

Also its a fun fight both in and out the ring. Bellew is no pushover and will be there to fight, just ask Haye. More than anything it puts the UK's 2 biggest **** talkers together for a big event and gets the public interested.

Dimitrenko is a decent shout but as mentioned the dude Price just fought (Sokolowski) is actually a very good journeyman, so he'd be OK. Then Price himself, that's easy work for Fury.

He needs to start from scratch. Go through the motions. Start against a bum, then British level (Chisora/Price), European level and then move on to a world challenger before taking on the top dogs.

I fear for Tyson if he’s rushed back. He’s 29. There is no rush, take your time and get it right. Have a good few camps.

Andre Ward & Mikey Garcia are two fighters that had a long long time outside the ring...Sugar Ray Leonard did it in the 80’s against Hagler. I appreciate Fury ballooned up to a ridiculous size but my point is, these elite level skilled guys don’t lose that skill set . They get a bit rusty granted, but they were all young lads, as is Fury. If you’re coming back in your mid to late 30’s then yeah, you’re done, but not late 20’s with that skill.

He needs to have one fight who will push him really hard but who hasn’t got that one big punch that would cost him.

I personally feel the 1st guy should just be a durable journeyman over 6-8 rounds just to get him the feel of being under the lights again. Someone like Sokoloswki would suffice. After that, a couple months later a 10 rounder against a durable guy along the lines of Dave Allen. After that a fringe contender over 12.

Agree about getting into shape first.

Fury would beat Price today, let alone in shape at 18 stone. It's a name I guess ,but a miss match for an in shape Fury at this stage in Price's career.I'd much rather Bomber.

Lol at "one of the bums Wilder beat".

Stiverne would be fine for Tyson's return, he's a fat mess himself with no interest in fighting, wouldn't sell any tickets though. Against a Price or a Bellew there's money to be made. After two years with no income Fury is no doubt looking to cash in, and it makes sense to use those guys before AJ. Warren will be thinking the same.
