Who should Garcia fight after Peterson?

Retire. He wouldn't beat Peterson.

 

If he doesn't move to 147, give Postol his shot

 

I'm not sure if he's the same fighter he was after the Matthysse fight.



I think he should move up and test the waters with an average 147 pounder.

 

If he feels comfortable making 140 again, then Postol, Algeri or the winner of the Prov-Matt fight. If he's staying at 147 then a tuneup fight with a former champ or contender would be fine as well.

Those saying Herrera, lets be realistic now. Herrera lost his last fight to a prospect. There's no way that fight is going to get made. Herrera has to re-establish himself again and beat some ranked opponents.

 

If he wants to and is able to make 140 then

Or go up to 147 and fight

Broner would be a good start. Is there any other 140 lbers of note that PBC has under contract?

 

It's very unlikely he will fight somebody tough at 147 if he moves up like a Maidana type.


If he does it will be against a fairly average 147 pounder to test the waters to see if he can handle the weight.


I doubt very much Haymon would put him in with the sharks so soon.


If he stays at 140 he should fight Broner but i doubt that will happen.


I think Haymon wants Broner to be the next big 140 pound champion when Garcia moves up. So i think those two fighting is unlikely but who knows.



Garcia should fight Postol. He deserves the shot.
