Right, because there's a lot more for him at SMW. atsch Name them. :hey Ward - isn't fighting, locked out Froch - Hearn is on record saying it doesn't make sense, Froch is after Chavez Jr in Vegas Dirrells - Al Haymon Abraham - scheduled to fight the winner of Sturm-Stieglitz Nope, the Murray fight is happening in February and Cotto-Canelo in May/June. Golovkin has a May date with HBO, that'll be the "whilst Cotto faces Canelo" fight.
Quillin wont fight him. If Canelo beats Cotto which I think he will, he will be stared away from Triple G. Chavez/Froch seem more likely, then Ward, Groves, Dirrells, and any future SMW contender. Cotto btw if he wins might retire, because he wont want to get KO'ed by GGG and force to quit.
It would be hilarious from a business perspective if Haymon fed Quillin to GGG now that another fighter in his stable has a 160 title after having avoided that matchup for years.
It will be Murray,he's going to be ringside tomorrow for murrays fight.i can see Murray upsetting him to be honest
GGG fighting little guys like Cotto and Floyd just doesn't seem right, for someone whose dominating MWs. Sure, skill wise it's interesting. But, even at a CW, the man just hits way too hard. Let's throw Pac and Bradley in the mix while we're at it. Hell...bring Marquez up too for GGG to feast on. Cotto needs to drop that belt like a hot potato, or get pummeled for it. Cotto vs GGG would be a HUGE fight in NY. But, I don't see that ending well for Miguel. I can see his children now...balling profusely at ringside. Canelo, on the other hand, who can barely make 154 is a more suitable opponent. But, he doesn't have what Cotto has. Cotto might want to put that MW belt up in May.
Cotto at 160. The "TBE" at 154, but tbe would never fight a live opponent who isn't smaller and a plodder.
Cotto should be the logical fight, but Cotto fights Canelo next so the next best option @ 160 is Murray/Jacobs or Chudinov in Monaco in January or february. Then Chavez in Vegas next summer and Cotto in new York next winter. After that he should move up to 168
