N'Dam is coming off of a LOSS and Baby Eubank is a green NOBODY. The only acceptable name on that list is Quillin. However, since Quillin is a Haymon guy, it begs the question; if he can fight Quillin then why can't he fight Lara?
He is very realistic. A 90 year old Ward is probably a better win for Golovkin than anything he has done so far. Ward will take the fight, what's stopping him? Golovkin has said he wants Ward, what's he waiting for? He's 33, in the last months I would say of his prime...time's a ticking
Didn't know Quillin was with Haymon. He's off the list too, thanks for the correction. :good Since N'Dam is off a loss, Eubank is a nobody, and Quillin is with Haymon... who does that leave besides Ward?
A guy who KO'd Tavoris Cloud in 2 rounds when Adonis could only stop him on cuts in 7, and went the distance with a won a few rounds off of BHop, that's who. Ward wouldn't stand a chance against Beterbiev's pressure and power he would crack eventually, and he'd go down just like Campillo.:deal
I actually know who he is But the guy is nothing but an up and coming contender, albeit an impressive one. A fight with Pascal makes more sense for Ward, hell even a rematch with Dawson would make more sense. Former world champs at that level to a guy who hasn't even had 10 fights. Of course Beterbiev is likely a better fighter in 2015 than Dawson, and maybe even Pascal, but they guy is still raw. And rich of you to mention Ward as ducking them when Stevenson and Kovalev are both doing their best Daffy impression.
Ward IS realistic. Don't make excuses for GGG. If the top guys in your division won't fight you as is the case, GGG needs to either take short money against a guy like Quillen or Lemieux...or go big and fight a Ward. He probably does neither and will fight some top 15 guy that gets called a bum.
Why would Golovkin go up to 168 for a fall fight with zero financial benefits and then have to drain himself all the way back down to 160, possibly lower, for the fight with Canelo/Cotto? That's stupid. And that just one angle of looking at it. Golovkin would be better off waiting for the Canelo/Cotto winner and then going up to fight Ward. And ironically, that's exactly what Ward is doing with his situation. He doesn't want to go fight Kovalev at 175 and drain back down to 168 to fight GGG afterwords. Golovkin is in the same boat as Ward but with Canelo/Cotto.
Ward is not a draw...agreed. But this fight would do good numbers...and if ggg won...his future paydays would grow exponentially. If he waits for those other guys...it's gonna be 2 years, making Golovkin nearly 36 with no elite wins on his resume. Cotto will NEVER EVER fight GGG. Also...team GGG have already said they are willing to fight Ward so are you saying you know better than them?
