ime a big ricky hatton fan,and i would like to see him fight fight marquez, because for one i think he can win,and also it would be my chance to see marquez, who do you guys think he should fight
i think khan would beat him now he could beat the other 3,but how do you feel about marquez,i know he is getting old, some people think mayweather finished him,and he is shot ,but i think it would be a good competitive fight
I say Khan wins because of the vast size, speed and reach difference as well as Khan's newfound ability to follow a set gameplan. I really don't see a good night for Hatton when you take all of that into account. People need to remember that styles make fights, not CVs. Agree with the last part 100%, though:good. Although that will never be enough for some.
I think that Khan would have to much for Hatton now...:yep I ain't gonna slag him off, but he should stick to promoting now... He got beaten by elite fighters at the top, there is no shame in that... I have spent a packet following Hatton over the years including going to Las Vegas 3 times... I am honestly not fussed who he fights as I don't want him too, he should keep his legacy of what he has acheived... If he wins...? Another fight...?...:nono
I think there are a few decent options out there for him. Stylistically, I think JMM would give Hatton a hell of a lot of trouble and Hatton would be completely picked apart. Bradley is very much a man on the up at the moment, but he continues to improve on each performance and seems to have developed more pop recently so that probably isn't a great option for Hatton either. Then you are left with the big boys at 147 including the new IBF champion Zaveck. If Hatton does come back against a 'titlist' as he said he would prefer to do if he doesn't get a fight with a top 10 P4P fighter, then Zaveck is an interesting option and not a huge risk. Hatton has also mentioned Senchenko - he holds the joke 'WBA ordinary' strap - as a possible opponent. Other than that, the only other options that fit Hatton's criteria are Khan (who will be busy in the immediate future with Maidana) and the winner of Urango-Alexander; Hatton has said he is interested in a rematch with Urango should he win and it's also a winnable fight for Hatton. In conclusion, I'd say going by the criteria Hatton has set out, the winner of Urango-Alexander is the best option. Alexander is a slick fighter and Hatton dismantled the recently rejuvinated Malignaggi not too long ago so he would probably fancy himself. As for Urango, people will point to suspicions that Hatton's punch resistance has faded and that Urango could be all-wrong for him. That said, the fight has all the makings of being a war if it lasts the distance:good.
He should be involved in a real fight like JMM. Maybe a warm up then JMM straight after. Retire on a high having beaten a true great. Overcome the odds too as most don't think he can beat JMM or Khan. I don't really believe in warm up fights. If he has the right sparring, he will be prepared. I believe in rest fights i.e. guys like Pac can have an a gimme after fighting 3 wars versus elite fighters. I understand about longevity and earning some nice paydays. It is acceptable when you are fighting top dog after top dog. Hatton never has or will do that so he can't waste another 6 months and take more money out of our pocket when he isnt really earning it.
Marquez or Bradley. Havent seen much of Bradley to be fair but I would think he stands a better chance against him then against Marquez who I think Hatton is made for. Hatton struggles with counter punchers. At this stage I think Khan will be too fast for him. Dont want to watch Khan pulverise Hatton, not since some asian girl at work reckoned Khan should fight Davd Haye next. atsch
Betty what would you do if Hatton beat JMM at 140 ? Would you give him props or just discredit the win straight away ?
Hatton should retire...no reason to fight on. Ok if he does fight might as well take on JMM at 140. Marquez looked slow at WW so it wouldnt be a risk even fight IMO.
