“Charlo is amazing, look how well he blocked that punch with his face - this is the best fighter we’ve ever seen. Clinic for Charlo.”

It was a bad card with that said It was a close fight it wasn't one sided. It doesn't always happen pbf was the house fighter and had a horrible card against canelo when he was ppv king.

Another vote for Korobov. It was a pretty close fight imo, but I had it about 7-5 to Korobov mainly on the basis of the cleaner big punches he was landing. Charlo was trying to make the fight and he made up some ground in volume where he was losing in clean punching. If Charlo had pressed the action from the start he may have emptied Korobov's gas tank before the 12th. I'd actually like to see a rematch where MK has a decent camp and where Charlo has a bit of time to digest the fight and its lessons.

Canelo is backed by DLH who has more clout than FMJ. So Canelo was the house fighter in that fight.

No he wasn't. Pbf was still on top of the sport p4p#1 and the ppv king cash cow he was A side

It shouldn't have been a wide decision for Korobov, but probably 115-113. Same way Charlo got the nod over Trout in a fight I thought should have been a Trout win or a draw.

A side or whatever. Canelo is backed by the most powerful man in boxing. Mayweather is a peasant compared to DLH when it comes to promotion and clout.

Being the face of Mexican boxing has its perks - see Chavez vs Whitaker. Along with DLH, Canelo has a ton of Mexican network backing.

    Korobov won by 2-3 rounds

But we are hardly surprised about an Eastern European fighter being stiffed on the cards in the USA against the US house fighter, it happens every time.

I had Korobov winning by 2 points. Charlo's punches were mostly off the mark, whereas Korobov was landing clean power shots. The compubox punch numbers were obviously counting punches for Charlo which were off target.

I think this could of went 115/113 for either guy or a draw; however, I strongly felt at the time of the fight last night that Charlo did not win much less deserve to be rewarded. 8 or more rounds in a fight that was sooo close

You can get there, though I called it a draw. Korobov let Charlo take the play away from him in the later rounds, and even in the 11th, didn't do much in the last half of the round. There were some rounds that Korobov gave away, but in the end they're still scored 10-9 for Charlo regardless of what transpired.
