    I scored it a draw.
    No robbery.
But Korobov deserves rematch - he fought well for a 35 year old with no camp. Charlo needs to redeem himself as well. I’d be open to see them fight again.

I scored it for Charlo 7-5 but have no trouble with scores going the other way.

The last year or three has been awful Stateside. It seems foreign fighters are struggling to have any work recognised by certain judges with a number of ridiculous cards being submitted in high profile matches. I don't believe it's incompetence as it never seems to swing the way of the away fighter so believe corruption is at work and the sport needs cleaning up by an outside body at this point.

As for the above fight. I haven't seen it yet but knowing the scores are unlikely to match the seemingly competitive action I'm not sure I can stomach it at this point.

Charlo could've won by TKO in the 12th but the ref was lenient and didn't stop it. Korobov was taking a beating.

Here come more excuses like the Fury-Wilder fight should have been stopped. Charlo didn't even get Korobov off his feet, and he was teeing off on him. You are delusional if you think the fight should have been stopped.

I guess every time a fight gets hurt they should automatically stop the fight?

This. It seems like the network divides, the need to build narratives, the a-side b-side obsessions, and most of all the Haymon factor have created an environment where we as boxing fans have started to expect this crap as part of the landscape.

It’s become so brazen in the Haymon/PBC era that people become used to it, allowing it to factor more and more across the board. The WBC have been absolutely outrageous the last 5 years in particular. Like, it’s at a point where the orgs or the promoters know that us fans will call them out on it, but ultimately the result will stand and the furore will die down, so they are getting more and more brazen.

I have always really found myself enjoying shobox the most and could never put my finger on why. I think it’s becaise the stakes are slightly lower because the promoters are testing these guys before investing too much - so we get better fights and better cards. Top level boxing, whilst making good fights, has become the realm of the exhibition at times with the pre determined results.

    It’s nauseating.

Also - I feel like some of the broadcasters have a growing habit of ‘weaponising’ compubox...only using it to bolster their opinion and narrative, ignoring it when it’s not in their favour, or cherry picking the stats that look good and ignoring the ones that weaken their narrative. This is less prevalent with the premium networks, but gets used a lot on the partisan shows (the ones which are time buys for example, or the showcase cards that are on regular TV channels, with a higher casual fan quotient).

It’s sad to think that something that was ostensibly brought in to be a fair and accurate litmus can be perverted to just use to illustrate a specific agenda.

""It was definitely a fight that could have gone either way, but I believe the people know that I won. I'm the most avoided fighter in boxing and I showed why tonight. I hope this performance will get me another title fight."

Quote from Korobov lmao.. Even he knows it was a close fight and not a robbery. But we know what's up on this forum.

    The fight is worth watching.

Korobov gave Charlo a lot of problems with his timing and clean punching early. Later Charlo began to figure him out and Korobov started slowing. But pretty much all the rounds were competitive and watchable. You get the feeling that a rematch would be excellent. Korobov with a proper camp and Charlo with a proper gameplan.

I'm fairly confident that MK should have been the winner but it's not the worst robbery I ever saw, its no Toney Tiberi or even close.

He is a gentleman I would be ****ing pissed off with that 119-108 card, what a way to discredit a fighter, the work and hours he has put all over his life, the sweat, tears and blood he let in the ring
