Who should Hopkins take on for his Farewell Fight?

I can't see Hopkins fighting on for long after Pavlik, but I think he will certainly have 1 more fight. If he beats Pavlik, he will feel on top of the world and will surely want to improve his legacy more if he knows he can still produce the goods. If he loses to Pavlik, I don't think he will want to end his career on 2 losses, and will definitely take a final fight that he feels he can win.

    What do you think?

If he beats Pavlik I would like to see him rematch Joe Calzaghe in Wales, assuming Joe beats Roy. If Roy does the impossible then Roy-Bernard II is a banker.

I think a rematch with RJJ is the most likely, but I personally would really like to see both him and Glen Johnson bowing out by fighting each other again. It won't happen of course, but two of the oldest and best warriors in the game retiring after one last war would be a great way to go IMO. Second choice, rematch with RJJ, that should have happened years ago.

Win or lose he should retire. Another loss at this point in his career will not hurt his legacy.

I just have a feeling whether both Hopkins or RJJ lose or win a rematch WILL happen. It also depends how they lose, if either man loses by KO then maybe it won't but aside from that lose or win it's definitely RJJ/Hopkins II. Very clear too.

I don't think Hopkins and Holyfield have the same mentality. I think Evander goes on in hope that God will steer him back to the title, and the losses he suffer do not shake that belief. I think Hopkins is more pragmatic, and cares about losses and legacy.

If Nard wins and RJJ wins then thats a fight thats actually makes sense.

But I would like Hopkins to retire if he loses to Kelly.

Pavlik should be his farewell fight if he wins. If he loses, he should fight Jones no matter if he wins or loses to Calzaghe.

rematch with Calzaghe? :huh not going to happen, why would anyone want that? Joe hates Bernard, Bernard thinks he won, the fight was dull dull dull.

Showpiece event, Calzaghe's final fight in front of 80,000 in Cardiff, and he chooses to fight Bernard 'I like to hug' Hopkins, a guy whose made a living out of making his opponents look bad. dont thnk so.

    got to be RJJ.

After Pavlik beats Hopkins I'd like Hopkins to either retire, fight Chad or Roy.
