TBH It does look like Michael Barrymore has had a good go at David Haye

Trying to perform his defensive tricks? He actually is able to perform this 'tricks', so Haye will have a hard time catching him flush. And if he does, well as you say 'wham!' , but Toney won't even be hurt and land a big counter-right just after. Hayes biggest asset is his power, well punching power never troubled Toney, who still is a defensive master and has world-class chin. Toneys been in with bigger punchers than Haye, and he was never hurt. Hayes chin, on the opposite...
Whatever, Haye won't fight Toney anyways, because Toney presents too much of a risk. Toney is too dangerous, and as I said, Hayes power will be of no avail, and Haye knows it. So Haye will probably want to fight Rahman or Barrett instead...

Toney should fight as soon as possible, and I recommend a fight with Kali Meehan. A keep-busy fight, Meehan is some kind of a name in the division and won't go down and Toney needs 12 good rds under his belt before he fights an eliminator or gets another title-shot. The fight could happen in september, Toney would keep his weight down and get his fighting routine back after the long lay-off and just three rds against Rahman. And Meehan wouldn't quit like some others...
Alternatively he could fight Golota, that fight would get a lot of media coverage.

Toney should either fight Haye in November or enter the WBA tournament starting in September which to this date includes Laykovitch, Golota and TOS.

However, a fight against Haye is certainly much more intriguing. One thing is for sure, haye does not have the power to seriously hurt Toney who besides his iron chin, has arguably the best defense in the heavyweight division. The only thing that could trouble him is haye's outstanding speed, especially as Toney has not dealt with this kind of quickness since he was a light heavy back in the mid 90's. Interesting bout with an unsertain outcome and the winner is certainly mandatory for a title shot .

The Toney of the second Rahman has certainly enough left to emerge as the winner of the WBA Tournament which also sets him up for a title shot.
