I really hate to say this because Kessler is my secind favorite fighter, but I think he fades from here on.

Until November he thought he was the best at and around his weight, he now knows he wasn't nor will he ever be - he'll never be seen as the best now, and this has to hurt.

No matter how good he does, he will always be silver to Joe's gold. I can see him fighting only a few more times for money then getting out still young and good looking, can't say as I blame him, though I do wish he would stay and dominate - as much for him as for Joe's legacy.

Hasn't he said as much himself lately?

He's not shot, but his confidence might be close to it - not that he should feel that way, he lost to the supernatural one after all, but I think his pride may not recover after he thought he was near invincible.

I just think he is too smart to stay around for years chasing Joe's legend, he knows he can't catch up, since he lost to him already.

I hope i'm wrong about this.

But yeah, in answer to the thread Q

Calzaghe beats him again for a year or so still

And maybe Dawson, dunno, but I think that might be a great fight.

I can't see Kessler quitting mate .He's just an out and out warrior who just happened to get beaten by the best S/Middle on the planet . I realise what you say about his confidence but he has a good team about him and they will get it through to him that he never took a Lacy style hiding and that even champs lose from time to time , He will come back better imo i really can't see him getting beaten by any other Super other than Joe .Regards Josey Wales
