Sebastian Sylvester would be nice but that won't happen so I'd go for someone like Lorenzo or Karmazin or maybe even Winky Wright.

As a Karmazin fan I have NO interest in seeing that. Hasn't the guy been through enough lately?

No...Would be another blowout...Karmazin went life and death with Dioniso Miranda...Enough said. Lemieux needs to fight someone like Manfredo, Lorenzo or Lajuan Simon, the last men to go the distance with Abraham...

Manfredo would also get blown out, about as fast as he did against Calzaqhe except this time it wouldn't be a farce.

Giovanni Lorenzo and LaJuan Simon are both good shouts, as both are fairly sturdy. Simon is fighting later this month, though.

Maybe Rubio, even though he just competed last weekend...twice in two months might be a bit aggressive a schedule at his age.

Even Sam Soliman...actually he might be better than anyone. Experienced enough to give a lot of different looks and durable and clever enough to survive a good many rounds, but Lemieux should have almost no trouble overpowering him.

The same goes for Ray Joval if he could be lured back into action, he'd be a good name.

I think Lorenzo is the best choice...Hes slick and hard to hit flush and seems to have a good chin...He also has ko power...

I personally would have truly liked to see him face someone like John Duddy but he won't be available since he's fighting June 26th.

Duddy's last two fights were only 7 weeks apart. If he blasts Chavez out early or otherwise doesn't endure a grueling war he can still be fresh for it in August. :good

A blowout against a top10 ranked Middleweight (ring magazine) is exactly the kind of fight you want on the undercard of a big fight like Pascal vs DAwson.

He wouldn't? Peter isn't hard to find. If Lemieux laid the same kind of outburst he took Ayala out with on Peter, how long would it last? Calzaghe was able to slap Manfredo silly and back him into the ropes shelling up with his light punches. Lemieux seems to have the same steady output and a hell of a lot more pop.

I agree. Manfredo is no world class fighter, but he's competed with such
which cannot be said for lemieux. Manfredo is tough and experienced.
That would be a perfect fight for him to step up.

IB? What? Calz had 5 times the output david does. Lemieux picks his spots
and loads up. He only goes for broke when he has his opponent wounded.
Too much is being made for his win over an obviously undertrained and bloated ayala( and never was for that matter)

Yeah, Calzaghe probably clocked far more punches per minute due to his speed (and style; most of those weren't even really "punches"), but I meant more in terms of the nonstop output. Manfredo didn't have time to blink against Calzaghe, and if Lemieux comes out fast and hard, what makes you think he won't or can't hurt Manfredo? If he does, he's shown the finishing savvy to jump on a guy and not give him time to blink, punching nonstop and with respectable enough handspeed for a power hitter.
