Who should Lucian Bute fight in his next match?

If you look at career wins and accomplishment I guess you could say that RJJ and BHop ranks better than Pac and May? So it's not entirely what you did in all your career you have to check, but if a fight would occur right now who would win and right now, Bute will beat Kessler.

 

That's what he's done his whole career, it won't change once the S6 is done. He's a pretender of a champion, and apparently people in Montreal worship him for it, and he's not even Canadian.....just cheap imported labor.:conf

 

Just some questions. How do you use these assessments to choose your ranking?

For exemple, official fight records: Bute should have the better on Ward, they are both undefeated, but Bute have more wins.
Raw talent: Maybe an edge on Ward just because of his amateur career vs Bute's.
The way wins are achieve: Bute by a wide margin. Even if one shootout against Green is pretty good, it cannot beat multiple KO.
Overall comp faced: Because of his Kessler win, everyone put Ward before Bute, rightly so, but let's be honest, that's it, Ward have no other wins that beat the top 5 Bute's wins.

So how do you put Ward before Bute in your ranking? It doesnt seem to be black and white.

 

What if Bute just went to Germany and just picked up that WBO belt from Stieglitz? Wouldn't that be nice?

He has a rematch with Pascal, probably in March or April.

 

Ward is there mainly based on the fact that he beat the recognized best 168lbs fighter at the time of the win. It's an important and deciding factor when comparing the two for me.

 

I do not think Pavlik will fight Bute anytime before the end of next year. I've read several recent interviews, and the underlyng tone seems to be, "I want revenge." In addition he entered camp lighter than he has in years, and weighed 168 weeks ago.

 

I would like to see him fight Ward in neutral territory, but Ward refuses to fight anyone outside his home town.

Other than that , why not Pavlik I agree , Pavlik would go into the fight the underdog IMO and im not sure how much credibility Bute takes from beating Pavlik , other than that , the best SMW's are tied up barring Dirrell whos being a ***** again so maybe that fight is doo ' able providing Dirrell wants to still fight live fights ofcourse !!!
