Agreed, Berto isn't ready but neither is Maidana or Alexander. Bradley is the only fighter of the names listed that actually has a chance.

He does deserve an easy payday for a change. However I think he will get credit from true fight fans if he fights the best fighters available to him. Floyd is not the end all and be all of boxing, there are other good challenging fights out there other than Mayw. I for one am not ready to see Manny retire just yet. I just want to see him fight the best out there and can think of lots of fighters I would like to see him fight, Floyd is just one of them. A fighter like him comes along once in a generation I want to see as much of him as I can.

While I think Berto is raw and unpolished at this point, and I think Manny is the better overall fighter, I wouldn't consider this a walk at this point. As easy as Manny has been to hit combined with Berto's handspeed and power, this could be a mistake for Pac. Berto possess the ability to seriously hurt Pac and is the kind of fighter who will throw in flurries if he smells blood (to his credit Pac does too), but I could see him hurting Pac and jumping on him for a stoppage, not likely or even probable, but certainly possible and something that should be considered. I don't know that Pac has been hit the way Berto can punch and with the frequency and speed. I still think Pac would win the fight but it would be a little more of a risk than some are elluding to.

Paul Williams at 147. Sergio Martinez at 160. Cotto/Foreman winner at 154. Bradley at 140. I'd be happy with any of these if he doesn't fight Floyd.

No one mentioned Marquez @ 140? He probably beat him easily at this stage of their careers and cast an illusion that he can deal with "counter-punchers". Would make a potential fight with PBF bigger as people would be fooled into thinking he has a greater chance. Plus he has old biz with Marquez.

What the hell is wrong with people who are saying he should retire. He is only 31, he could fight 2-3 more yrs. If you love boxing why would you want a fighter who fights nothing but the best to retire, thinki of all the fights we would miss. Do you know what you get when a wish like that is granted? Sugar Ray Leonard. He retired early, when he could of fought alot more fights, then he came back for only one fight, then retired, back and forth back and forth. He retired early and he regretted it.

If you love the sport why would you not want Manyy around as long as his skills are at the top. Hell I would love to see him fight Bradley, Medina, Berto, Cintorn, KTFO Khan, I just love to watch him fight ashe will always fight a fighter who has a chance of winning. This age of boxing when we have great fighters who do not fight enough, we finally have one and people are saying he should retire just because a Mayw. fight can't be made. Thats just nuts. Imagine living in the late 1940s and early 1950s people on this site would be saying Sugar Ray Robinson should retire, he should just retire. He would of never fought Gene Fulmer, Carmen Basillio, no rematches with Jack Lamotta,. Retire thats nuts, there are plenty of good fighters that would make entertaining fights

Pac is not going to 140! He will finish his career at 147. If he can fight Clottey's big ass he will have no problem fighting other WW's exception of PW and maybe Margacheato!

I agree PacMan should square off with André Berto. If he's going to fight at 140, it should be against Tim Bradley and no one else. The other lengthy welterweights are off, the likes of Cintron, Williams, Margarito. Too much height and reach, and power to boot. Let's not get carried away by strategy-infused ramblings by Nazeem Richardson. Pacquiao is a stretch at welterweight, still.

He can also fight the likes of Quintana, Collazo maybe.
