I have a feeling this will be an entertaining fight. So, if he does emerge victorious, why not a rematch against Martinez.
Why do people write off Macklin so easily, I've been wondering? Not learned anything from the last fight, I suppose? Everyone was saying **** like "Barker has no business in the ring with Martinez. It's a horrific mismatch. Barker will get stopped inside of three rounds." and Barker broke Martinez's nose, may have been arguably up on the cards for a bit at some point and went way late until his ear got busted. And I saw ****all after that from the people that were naysayers on the Barker fight being made and slagged him off as an easy night. I wonder what will happen this time if Macklin causes an upset or gives Martinez a big test in defeat. Will people start acknowledging that Martinez is actually fighting some good guys because the middleweight division is quite a bit more healthy than it's made out to be, maybe?
Not wise to get ahead of yourself . :nono Macklin will put up a decent challenge no doubt but Martinez will stop him late on........:smoke
If he manages to win then a Sturm rematch could be a big fight for him or a fight with Lee or Barker in Ireland or England.
