Who should Mayorga fight next?

    No way in hell will he beat Kelly or Taylor but if he comes down in weight his wild ass style might throw everyone off at welterweight, that is, he'll be another wrench in the machine. That's what makes welterweight so interesting in 2008, so many wrenches in the machine. Anything can happen.

    forrest fight was a nice surprise at the time, but i think the man is a *****, and now hope he will just go away.

    please not spinks agin.

    hbo promotion advertising says we will give viewers $20 to watch it just to break even on advertising money.

    spinks spent the fight with his head 8 inches from the canvas while mayorga looked liked he was doing practise baseball swings without a bat.

    But I dont thing Forest will take the fight.
    Mayorga would walk right thru him.
    Forest would get thumped again and it would be even easier.

    I don't think Mayorga can make 147 anymore, so I think he should stay at 154. But who should he fight ?
    I think he should fight Forrest, but I think Forrest beat him at this point. IMO.

    Tons of great matchups at LMW. Spinks, Forrest, either Simms, Julio, Alcine, Kirkland, Roman.

    Tons of very winnable matchups at welter - and even the less winnable ones (Cotto, Shane and Floyd) would be very exciting.

    Seems way too obvious to me also. I think right now, Forrest gives him the best pay day. This fight will attract the most people because of their past. Mayorage has deteriorated enough since they last fought that i think Forrest would win this one easily. But you never know as Mayorga seems to have his number despite Forrest looking great of late. Forrest wants to avenge his two losses against a supposed "inferior" fighter.

    I think they need and want each other. This fight makes too much sense. And Mayorga is not the type of guy who would avoid anyone.

    No way.

    Mayorga has lost a lot since they last fought while Forrest has looked great of late. I think Forrest would outclass him. But there's always that possibility that Mayorga gets to Forrest's head and beats him again. That's why it's intriguing. You don't know exactly what's going to happen. Conventional wisdom would say Forrest by decision. But that didn't happen the first two times they met.
