Cotto would be my choice, however that would be slightly more then just a tune up match. I say take on Callazo or Quintana in a few months (Floyd doesnt need 6 months to prepare because he always stays near fighting shape when he's taking time off), then Cotto next summer. After that take on Pacman in December 2009 or January of 2010.

I was joking about Cotto being "slightly more" then a tune up he's obviously a legit opponent.

Why is Cotto an option but Margarito not an option? He holds a belt and is widely regarded as the best Welter at the moment. In addition, I believe Floyd said "I'll meet you down the line, when it's bigger and better".

Only taller? Is that really what you believe? Margarito is also stronger. He throws a better variety of punches. He's much more relentless AND effective on offense. He packs a heavier punch. He's also beaten better fighters.

Only taller? Perhaps you should ask more questions rather then showing you don't know too much.

Margarito only has 1 big win. if he beats Mosley than Cotto again then he derserves it, 1 big win doesnt get him a match with Mayweather

he does not need a tune up for Pac. Floyd would school him.

Ok, in that case how many fights does Pacquiao have at 140 or 147 to deserve the fight? Compared to Marg fighting Cotto, Clottey, Williams, Cintron etc.

Also isn't Margarito the no1 ranked Welter?
